I'm not confident at all, but I do think Cracksman's got an each way squeak.

As with Day 1, the opener goes to an outsider, with Signora Cabello taking it out sat 25/1.

Fav Chelsea Cloisters didn't go a yard and blew like a gale on betfair immediately after the jump.

W Ward's stable was in pretty mediocre form prior to the Royal meeting, and he's had a miserable time of it so far, with a couple favs running no sort of race.

What a difference a day makes.

A O'Brien couldn't get on the scoreboard on Day 1. Just opened the shoulders and trained the trifecta in the Queens Vase.

And L Dettoti had the Midas touch yesterday, but everything he touches today turns to shit instead of gold. Missed the break in both rides so far and been out of the placings on the fav in the first and the plunge horse in the second race.

He's on the 2/5 fav, Cracksman, in the Prince of Wales.

Frankie' s had better days.

He's been beaten on 3 favs in the first 4 races, including the hugely overrated Crapman, oops, Cracksman, at 2/5 fav, bested easily by the good but hardly outstanding Poet's Word.

Surely we'll hear no more about him being Winx's superior?

With the 3 best stayers in Europe fronting up it is as good a Gold Cup as we have seen in the past 300 years.

Harry Angel in the Diamond Jubilee my only bet for Ascot week

Its nearly a moral, 11/4 is great odds.

First fav backed to the exclusion of all others, but ran as though she had 3 legs. Finished much closer last than first.

Crystal Ocean about to go around at 2s on - second shortest fav of the week, after the ineffectual and vanquished Crapman.

Easy enough in the end for the fav, but hardly on the bridle.

Great win by Merchant Navy, but what a fiasco the Diamond Jubilee was.

Fav Harry Angel went berserk in the stalls and his Monty Roberts blanket seem to get tangled up. Starter for some inexplicable reason still let them go, instead of having the horse backed out and vetted. Not surprisingly, Harry Angel missed the jumped hopelessly and then dipped on his first stride out of the barriers.

Amateur stuff.

Redkirk Warrior woeful. First horse beaten.
