I saw a program the other day where it was mentioned that in1953 that no divorced persons could gain access to the Royal Enclosure at Royal Ascot, however they were invited to the coronation of Queen Elizabeth at Westminster Abbey that same year.
How times have changed, half the attendees at Ascot in 2019 are more likely , than not, divorced. :chin:

The Queen Anne Stakes (Group One)

Founded in 1840, the Queen Anne Stakes commemorates the monarch who established racing at Ascot in 1711. Run as the Trial Stakes until 1929, the Queen Anne Stakes was first awarded Group Three status in 1971, becoming Group Two in 1984. The race, attracting Europe’s top older milers, achieved the highest three-year average rating of any Group Two race in Britain from 1999 to 2002 according to the then International Classifications and was elevated to Group One status accordingly in 2003. At that time, it moved from the traditional opening race on the card to the fourth race. However, in 2008 it reverted to its traditional slot, opening the meeting.

The most interesting runner at Ascot tonight and perhaps all week (at least for the statistician in me) is Laurens in the Queen Anne Stakes who will be chasing her sixth group 1 win and her first in open company. Cheers.

No luck for Houtzen after knuckling at the start she was never a hope after that.

I'm told that Tom Waterhouse is at Royal Ascot with 5 of his 'Platinum' members, one of whom may be the newsreader Sandra Sully's husband, unless of course she herself stumps up the obscene member's charge.

In other news, Robbie Waterhouse would like a pitch at RA, but thinks the freight is too expensive.

Race 2 tonight the Hampton Court Stakes has a couple of interesting roughies worth an eachway bet.

Getchagetchagetcha and Arthur Kitt are $41 and $26 respectively. Getchagetchagetcha has very good French form behind Shaman who I believe is top class. Shaman ran a running on 4th in the St James Palace Stakes. If he was in this he would be an absolute moral.

Last start Getchagetchagetcha got the first run on Arthur Kitt who was unlucky in second in a conditions race. Arthur Kitts previous form was poor but I suspect he has put that behind him.

At the odds these two are worth an eachway ticket.

Shaman ran a running on 5th not 4th.

I thought they got ran well but massively outclassed.
Will it  be worth blackbooking the for another lesser day perhaps?

The TABs don't put up results for races where there are more than 24 runners, presumably because they do not run tote pools on them.
