This fellow is now fav for next year's classics after spreadeagling his field in this afternoon's G3 Solario Stakes at Sandown. That followed a 7 length debut win at the same course a few weeks back.

He bested a ptretty decent lot today, with previously unbeaten Royal Ascot winner, Arthur Kitt, his closest pursuer.

He's got a stellar pedigree and impeccable connections. Owned and bred by the Lloyd Webbers, he is trained by J H M Gosden and ridden by L Dettori.

He's by Dubawi ex the super racemare and broodmare, Dar Re Mi. I had a good look at him in the paddock beforehand. He's a neat type, but typical of his sire's stock, he doesn't seem to have a huge amount of scope.

I can't argue with his credentials, but I won't be jumping in to the ante prices on him.

Ten Sovereigns looked pretty good in the G3 Round Tower at The Curragh as well. He beat the second horse Bruce Wayne (love that name!)  by a space.

The commentators suggested that these two could meet at Newmarket.

I think Ten Sovereigns will be a sprinter.

Interesting clash in tomorrow's G2 Champagne Stakes at Doncaster between this very nice colt and Godolphin's recent big money purchase, the unbeaten Dark Vision.

TDH smashed his opposition, which included some pretty handy neddies, a fortnight back at Sandown.

Dark Vision came from what looked an impossible position to win at Goodwood.

TDH currently trading at 1/2 fav. Dark Vision 4/1.

5 minutes out from the jump, and itís all one way traffic in the betting.

2/5 fav Too Darn Hot.

5/1 Dark Vision.

Market was spot on.

He's a missile, Too Darn Hot.

I hope Godolphin didn't pay too much for the hitherto unbeaten Dark Vision. He ran a bad last at his first run for the blue jackets.

Mark Johnston, he is a head scratcher.
