Thing wins the last by 5 lengths at $101 SP.......just doesn't happen in any realistic bona fide scenario. If that doesn't warrant an inquiry, what would. Love to know when one last won at that price at Doomben, wasn't this century.

And trainer "gets pinched" $400, for "changing the racing tactics of the horse" without notifying the stipes, from its 7 of 9 at Sunny Coast on 18.10.09 (beaten just under 5).

No "retro" inquiry from Sunny Coast but???

$400 ??? !!!  he would wipe his arse with the 400 compared to what he would've got out of backing it on the giddy goat

$2 on the unitab win tote would basically take care of that, $2 e/way and he gets change

Its the stupidest rule in racing except maybe not allowing Jockeys to back their own mounts.

Chief steward Wade Birch said that El-Issa had, by far, the worst record of any jockey in the state for getting into trouble.

"His is easily the worst penalty record I have seen by a street," Mr Birch said.

Mr Birch said El-Issa had been fined 29 times for run-ins with officials, had been suspended four times and reprimanded nine times. El-Issa has paid a total of $10,500 in fines and that does not include the $200 at Ipswich on Thursday for having a mobile phone in the jockey room.

Last June, he was fined $500 for kicking a horse behind the barriers at the Ipswich races and he has been sidelined for two drug offences. In April, 2006, El-Issa was outed for nine months and ordered into rehabilitation after he tested positive to cocaine in a random drug test at Doomben.

Mr Birch said El-Issa's latest breach would be brought to the attention of the licensing committee of Queensland Racing.

The licensing committee can issue a "show cause" which would require El-Issa to prove he is a fit and proper person to hold a jockey's licence.

But lets not forget, our chief stipe is only a "pup", so he "aint seen to much in racing" - (he aint no Clive Morgan or Neave Frawley, that for sure).

Yep they SHOULD all have to back their own mounts,(but not the opposition of course!)

At least I can say I was there to witness the roughie bolt in.   :noteworthy:
Pretty sure the horse had a change of trainer recently. Good enough reason as any as the change in form.  :chin:

Why??

Because I took him in the quaddie yesty on Manic Monday, and I was asked after the race how I jagged it, and said because Bobby was on it, but couldn't take him in the last leg.
The rest is history, quaddie 151k  :tears:
Backed him earlier on Hooray Toby too

OL that is bad luck, I got the 1st 2 legs of the Syd Quaddie (both approx $30 & then missing the fav in the 3rd leg)  :tears:

Bobby has always had the talent, maybe lacked the guidance.
