Jockeys should be allowed to bet on meetings where they do not have a ride -- a further protection would require jockeys to bet onlywith a nominated account which stewrads would be authorized to audit online.

Another Victorian jockey has been charged with placing bets on horse races.
Nick Souquet, 45, has been charged by Racing Victoria stewards with placing 10 bets on horse races in November last year, none of which were in races he rode in.
