There's one thing that we know Jeunes, he holds his own anywhere.

Anyone who thinks he can't ride is delusional.

Gintara,

Put Pike slightly above Nash in my rankings but below the top rung.

Less of an insult then you think as Nash is up there albeit he could not be at the same level in HK.

Saying over rated is not the same as saying he cant ride, - Betting returns tell the story.

Random snapshot.

10 winners from his last 50 rides.

Double at Wyong yesterday, double at Randwick last Sat following at treble at the Tamworth Cup meet. The previous Sat included the Gp3 Packer Plate.

Winners for 3 x O'shea, Maher, Sue Grills, 2 x Cody Morgan, Waller & Danny Williams. 9 rides in the 50 were for Team Hawkes.

I don’t bet on provincials or even mid weeks these days. Last week we had him in most of the early and normal quaddie legs

He is a damn good rider and I do hope he gets opportunities from the major stables. He has an interesting book of rides tomorrow. I am hoping Mr Mozart gets up.

Noticed Pike rode a couple of winners today at nice odds. Do not usually look at mid weekers these days so missed them as usual.

Noticed he is riding in Eagle Farm this weekend and has a couple of good rides but the barrier draws will be a challenge.

Pike had 8 rides today. 2 wins and another 3 placings to add to the wins. The placings were also at good odds too.

If I was a Sydney jock like McDonald, Bowman, McEvoy, Rawiller, Berry etc I would be wondering how many rides will I lose to Pike in the spring.

I don't think they have to worry at all. Waller / Cummings etc will always have JMac, Bowman, McEvoy etc on their first choice mounts. Pike has mainly been riding for Hawkes which might put Berry out a touch but he gets plenty across various stables.

The difference is Sydney has such a strong room with plenty able to do the job. Pike came out of a situation where he truly dominated.

One good thing about Willie is that he admits to his slaughter jobs as he did last weekend. Sadly he has to do it too often

I mentioned one recently in here and it goes around today. Video watchers and fans of the series “Vikings”  will be all over it
