Not sure Aaron Sweeney publicised his sex change either.

I thought the same till I looked at the form guide. Listed as Ms A Sweeney last start😱

Atishu Ė Began awkwardly and from a wide barrier then was shifted behind runners in the early stages. When questioned, rider K. McEvoy stated that from his wide barrier his mount was caught without cover in the early stages and for this reason he elected to restrain Atishu back towards the rear of the field in order to avoid racing extremely wide. He stated that at the time he elected to take cover, the field was relatively compact, but soon after the leading division established a margin on the main body of the field, this resulted in him settling further back from the leaders than he had anticipated. He stated that from the 600m he commenced a forward move through the field and on straightening his mount commenced to resent the kickback from runners in front. He added that near the 250m, when being shifted to the outside 20210904RR 8  of Itz Lily, Atishu again appeared to resent the kickback, got its head up and became momentarily unbalanced before then finishing off the race strongly.

Slaughter job yesty imo.......gave it no hope .... at its previous run never worse than 5th ....one of those not culpable cases ....no penalty for making a wrong choice.

Miss Fitzgerald on Blazing Tycoon in the last at Kalgoorlie certainly wasn't a shining light

Seemed reluctant to look to the outside in the straight where the gap was

Would love some thoughts on the ride aboard Camp Rifle at Coonamble.

Can't decide if it was great or a shocker  :chin:

I can't really see what he could have done differently.

Acknowledge he was drawn wide, but why drift back to near last before immediately heading around the field sitting wide

It's not like he sat back then made a mid race move.  :what:

Horse looked to travel comfortably to just go down but I thought the early decisions were strange.  :/

I thought it was a good ride actually, given the gate. The pace seemed to disappear while he was going back. Appear3d he got some cover for a while

There have been some interesting rides in Ascot today on horses drawn near the rails. The latest Race 4 and watch a horse called Beanie. It should have finished a lot closer if the jock tried to ease outside a couple of horses in the straight rather than try to go back inside for a miracle run. Donít think if it would have won the race but being 2nd fave, might have finished in the placing,

Jaden Lloyd is a very good young rider....this was not one of his best...stewards had to ask what he was doing and accepted his explanation the not culpable rule applied ...certainty beaten

ENTERPRISE PRINCE Ė Stood flat footed and lost ground. When questioned in regards to the tactics adopted from the 500m. Apprentice J Lloyd stated that after being slow to begin he was placed further back than he had anticipated.  He stated that rounding the home turn he was hoping to get a run to the inside of RED STINA which resulted in him having difficulty obtaining clear running until a point near the 150m. App Lloyd further added that in hindsight he would have been better served to have attempted a run to the outside of RED STINA approaching and rounding the home turn which would have afforded him clear running.  Stewards were of the view that App J Lloyd erred in his decision to persist racing to the inside of RED STINA however feel that his actions were not culpable under the rules and took into account his status as a 3kg claiming apprentice.
