Hugh Bowman on Religify. That had to be a joke. The most patient jockey in Australia rushing up 3 and 4 deep giving the horse no hope.

Sydney racing - you beauty! Tennis anyone?

And the Christmas award goes to Jim Byrne for a special ride on Reckless Abandon in the last at Doomben.

Don't worry about getting a clear run in a big field buddy. Just get boxed in on purpose from the 750m after having a sweet run. Hope it paid well.

T.Treichel on Mon's Gal race 2 Tamworth. Very interesting from the 800 to the finish line.

FFS they are sending it around in a non Tabbie at Quirindi tomorrow.

Why doesn't some enterprising corporate run books on the non tabbies  :bulb:

Ron Stewart needs to be banned from riding at any track.  How some of these morons get rides anywhere is beyond belief.

Check out the superb effort on Zoff of the World at the Sunshine Coast.

And the overrated B Shinn gives punters a lovely 2016 send off on the heavily backed Raiment.

A 4kgs claimer couldn't have done any worse.

Check out Jye McNeil on Praesentia in race 7 at Stony Creek Today. Thinking the jock should concentrate on somewhere like Bourke or Cunnamulla.
Should have won easily. Lucky someone like Clarry Connors doesn't train it ; his ears would still be ringing !

Yes I was waiting for that ride to be raised. What a howler of the highest order.
Had about 5 options at different stages to make the right call and win easily yet made the wrong decision every time.
Maybe there is a reason a lot of the other young jocks have given him windburn over the last 12 months

Ms R. Murray on Magic Arli at Port Macquarie rodeaccording to the betfair flucs. Huge lay bets about 1 minute from the start and she didn't try a yard.

Loved the caller stating it was getting shuffled back but it wasn't tightened or blocked at all. Just allowed to drift back to a position where it couldn't win.

Ms B.Ainsworth on War Baby at the Gold Coast. Not up to metro standard again for this useless jockey.

Yes he is not the first. I remember a pretty fair apprentice called Malcolm Johnston doing it in a Sydney Cup. And of course R McLeod did it at the Valley in more recent times.

I remember McLeod doing it, not Johnston.

What was Johnston riding?

Could easily be wrong but an incident on the horse Clear Day comes to mind. (same horse who got up to beat Hyperno when R Higgins dropped his hands )

Not sure about the worst ride of the day but I'll give M Johnston the worst ride ever.
Poor Kingston Town, 59kgs and 50+ full blooded lashes all the way up the Flemington straight.
If only Malcom Johnston's brain had matched Kingston Town's courage.

JWH , the memory like everything else is failing, but a horse by the name of High Destiny rings a bell. I can recollect him being eased out of it after going out of the straight the first time.

Brad Rawiller on Lucky Hussler surely gets a gig.

Onto heals, marking time strung up while everyone else is getting going, didn't see clear air until the final 100 once everyone had gone  :tears:

Zatopaz - L. Roche
I was lost for words. He should be punished for animal cruelty and sent back to the picnics.

Stewards

Zatopaz
An  inquiry  was  opened  into  the  tactics  adopted  by  rider  L  Roche  on  the gelding throughout the event.  After taking
evidence from L Roche, the matter was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
A post race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities

You can understand when a horse takes hold of the rider but this was the opposite. He was pretty much whipping and urging the whole 2400m race until he finally broke the horse. Amazing that they were only beaten 10 lengths. The one they attacked the whole way was tailed off and looked distressed.
Totally incompetent.

Just doing some videos from the past few days. Can't recall ever adding so many to the blacbook

Some familiar jockey names seem to pop up with some  poorly judged rids :chin:
Macmahon and Hammersley to name  :bulb:
