And there is the small issue of an extra 800m.

Agreed gin but

I believe my eyes 4th in the CC

I'm all over it  8-)

That's the beauty of the punt Rats, mine saw that a horse flashing home but the form guide says he turns he up when heading to Flemington. We've all got to back our own judgement  :chin:

First two winners to Gai. She has two in either side of the Cup in Prompt Response and Fabrizio who both look outstanding chances.

Putting the form guide to one side for a second, you wonder if the first lady of racing might have been written off a bit too soon. Will be having a small saver on Excess Knowledge in the Cup now  :)

I liked Oceanographer's run in the Geelong Cup too.

But that replay of the Ebor tells me Heartbreak City is going to be very hard to beat.

I backed him with a saver on Almandin.

Weird barracking against a horse you've backed with 100m to go.

Finished in front but it was a real tough Cup this year.

I'm not so sure FZ, I had it to 4 winning chances and 2 have run in the placings. I found it even outside of that.

Although I was cursing Rats at the post with Almoonqith nearly knocking off 4th      Thankfully the right horse stuck it's nose down to keep it out

Agree but I think it was more about whether a few of them would get the trip.  They didn't.

Hmmmm,

I assume Oliver cannot ride at 52kg these days given that he jumped off the winner despite being on it for its prior two wins...

Confirms idea that winner comes from peak rating win at prior run but after the result ( and jamea's failure ) I would add beating the handicapper is desired too.

Wouldn't say it's the two miles Magic, he did beat home 21 others.

Weight was probably the factor and he did sit wide for most of the trip.

Pretty sure KMc was booked straight after the last win due to the light weight.

Me too but I pulled the wrong rein.  I went after HBC and had a saver on the winner.

Doubled my account but it could have been a lot better result for me had HBC held him off.

Great finish though and a much better run race than the farce last year.
