Might have to make that a new rule. Don't dare have a shot at any jockey as it might upset some members

Funny thing is, I backed the thing that Taylor was on.

I only looked at the race again after getting a call from the track from a couple of blokes that had backed Cassidy.

1 CHIVAS REGAL --Backing this in the first at Tauranga.

Does it annoy anyone else when people continually post after the event?

Some members do it a lot and while it doesn't do any harm, it really annoys me.

Then again more important things today with plenty of winners out there somewhere.

You seem to make this point at regular intervals, and quite frankly I rarely, if ever, see anyone here doing that.

Unless it's a fond reminiscence.

Oh, I tell a lie, there was one on this thread, two posts above

As I say it is not important and just one of a few things that annoy me sometimes

Sporty used to have a shot at one current member re this and this bloke is still doing it a lot.

Imagine a sound that a dog with a harelip makes and that is a clue to his nic.

They tell me that Old Larsy is still a big offender on another forum.  He was the worlds worse and never ever lost according to his posts.

Nothing much for me in the way of serious bets today

A bet in each race in M/S/B for a interest while flicking over to the golf at intervals

1 CHIVAS REGAL --Backing this in the first at Tauranga.

I share a few bets on the Kiwi races on a Saturday morning and we were told that this was a real good chance

Memo to self---never ever believe tips on the internet.

On the home front.

My 8yo grandson rang me this morning to help with some homework.  6am on a Saturday is a bit early but that was OK.

His question was, who or what built the planet and Universe and how did it all start.

At that time on a Saturday I am trying to figure my bets out and not sort  these type of questions out.
I was going to tell him about the Big Bang theory and then realized that he goes to a mick school so the teacher might have wanted the six day story.
In the end I suggested he gets onto google and also that his other grand dad might know more than me

He was happy with that and then earbashed me for another twenty minutes on a new computer game that he got.  I think that was the main reason for the call anyway

Not much success for this little black duck today.

Today I sat in front of computer and reinvested when I got something back.

Next week I might go back to putting my bets on on the Friday at the club.

More fun that way I reckon. For me that is what it is all about---fun.

This is why Betfair doesn't grab me.

Maybe if I was a huge punter it would be different.

What upset Walter Watermelon?

Wal is usually a quiet decent bloke and best of all a good Labor man?

I must have missed something.

That something like an "honest politician", such as Gordon Nuttall?

Maybe more along the lines of Don Lane and Brian Austin.

BTW I liked Brian Austin as he helped me out when I was really struggling after a bloke stole a lot of money of us.

Fitzgerald Inquiry--how soon we forget.

Would Nuttall be the only Qld (or any state/any party) politician that is corrupt? There are a few I can think of that would consider him a "babe in the woods" when it comes to corruption. Times have changed. I recall a friend of mine who worked at the taxation dept telling me he saw the file of a famous, knighted Premier of NSW with a big stamp on the front of his extremely thick file "Public Figu Not to be prosecuted until death"

gratlog, you can say what you like on your own blog, but you do yourself no credit by short-counting.  (Not like a good Labor man to mislead us.)

I have all your systems on file.  You're closer to 10,000 than 5, be assured.

Snobs

Most of us probably have that bit of snobbish behaviour in us but some people do make you laugh.

I live at Woodridge and if you know the area it has a bit of a bad name, but what makes me smile is the bloke that lives over the road puts his address down as Trinder Park.  Always telling me as to how well his shares are going so I tell him why not move to what he thinks is a better area, but me thinks he stretches the truth a little re his money

When I was a postie at Clayfield and one of my runs was around Eagle Junction. Anyway there was this snobby old girl that wanted her address to be Kalinga and she was in my area of Eagle Junction.
Her problem was that when her mail came addressed to Kalinga it had to come out of Lutwyche PO.  Therefore the boys at Lutwyche would then have to re-address that mail over to Clayfield for me to deliver and thus delaying the delivery time by one day at least.
She would abuse the crap out of me every time she seen me and wanted the Lutwyche posties to come out of their area just to deliver her mail
She never did win the battle and I'm not sure as to what ever happened to the poor old bugger.

Had a mate who lived in Woodridge and he always said

"There are 2 sorts of people in Brisbane, those that live in Woodridge and those that want to live in Woodridge"

Gratlog, your old dear is still alive and miserable.  I came across her recently complaining she never got her notice of a meeting she wanted to attend.  The organiser did some research and found that he had emailed the notice to her.  She replied she choses not to communicate that way and a pox on the group for not mailing it to her.

Takes all types, whether they live in Woodridge or Clayfield.
