Good on you Omni. You proved you can train but I think you've made a wise choice. Harrison gets plenty of winners and I'm sure with your input, they certainly won't be going backwards.  emthup

Gee life's tough at times. Stable going well, winners coming in and bang it all turns downward. Last night we lost one of young apprentices in a car accident not 10 km from the stable. A bubbly happy young lady she was and she will be dearly missed by all here. Our team has lost a member, R.I.P Kate Stons

After 20 mins in the room with W.A stewards yesterday, its no wonder W.A is classed as the other state.  .   :censored: me. Maybe they should make up there panel of 1 ex jockey, 1 ex trainer (2 sets of horsemanship brains) a punter and 2 wanna be know it all's. How can a vet late scratch a horse thats done 1/2 pace past them and is 500m in front of them??..Oh thats right the steward up in his tower decided its overworked in its prelim. Only problem is neither the vet nor steward could say what time it was doing per 200m nor the heart rate at the gates as it was pulled out before it got there...  :thumbsd:.

Just checking in so those that want to know...yep im still alive. Flat out with work and family. All good on the family front, omni jnr is now walking, packing paddies, and starting to learn words( omni,s gotta be carefull with them swear words now). All the mothers at day care love him so just got to teach him to remember your dad and feed the backs    . Been thru a lean spell with winners at work but developing a bunch of young up and comers so we will be back on fire again soon. Red Hot Sax at odds today helped. Still drug free  :clap2:. Have a young kid here that you might want to mark down as the next best apprentice to come out of Perth...Quade Qrough (spoken like Crow). Queenslander that had not sat on a horse before he came here 12 months ago (but has a lite plane pilots licence) and has been under my wing since he got here. The kid rides good and trains harder than any kid I have come across. 45kg's and now duel handed with the whip ( has not had his first trial ride yet).  Omni jnr is now 18 months old and spoilt by Mrs Omni. Already has a pony with all gear, Pumpkin Patch clothes and I watch, no listen to Dora The Explora or Diego most afternoon's..Soooo exciting . Hope everyone had a great Xmas and the new year has started as you wanted it to. Mine so far is going ok.

We just spent some money and picked up some yearlings at the sales (MM) over here. If any formites would like to get involved in a syndicate for one of them please message me and i will update you on horses looking for syndicate members. David has a great eye for a horse. Would love to get enough interest and lease one i train myself from here as i still hold my trainers licence. Fourmites horse racing in Perth...might be fun.  Anyway can put you into a horse trained by Harro if interested. What better excuse to get away from the Mrs for the weekend..."Gotta go to Perth, horse is racing".
