healthy baby girl, a little small at 1.92kg but that was to be expected. All in all though very happy and a tad relieved.  :baby:

Congrats TCE

As a home dad of 2 children (5 & 2) my advice is get a tip from whoever you speak to about kids.  Its surprising what people will come up with as their best tip.

Tip : Aldi nappies ... didn't discover until first child was almost done with nappies ... a LOT cheaper and almost as good as Huggies.  I make a trip especially for nappies and wipes about bi-monthly.

Hope you get some sleep.

Oink !

Many thanks for the kind wishes. The little one is now home and doing very well, although she is only 1.84kgs and it is so cute as she can only breastfeed for about half an hour or so before getting tired.

I decided to cash in my winnings and give them to the other half to spend on items, which was a shame as I was going to back December Draw yesterday although I missed the race due to being in the hospital but no complaints.

Deciding to play around with long shots.
Must be $31 or greater and looking to win $300 per wager so max of $10 per bet.

I've been going OK on simply selecting two horses each week and betting a ratio of 1:4. I don't bet each week if I don't feel I am confident. Price isn't a major problem either if I think it is a sure thing...although within reason.

Now that I believe the tweaking has been done, time to see how I go longer term.

Bet A = 4 units
Bet B = 1 unit

What I found rather interesting was that I failed to have a losing week with my 1 unit bet, which I deemed to be the less stable of the two bets whilst the shorter priced wager, which I deemed to be more stable didn't provide the results I was looking for.

That said, I did finish in front but not by a lot.

Will begin the process again in September for the spring carnival and this time may have a wager on one horse only at 5 units.

Translation:-

The comparative "roughies" won more than the favourites.
