Haven't ventured to the country or prov tracks for a while (with the exception of my brothers horse) but think Whisperossa in race 3 Newccastle will be hard to beat although you'll be luck at get evens.

Scratched in Sydney to run in this.

The Waterhouse stable has taken a few up today. Best could be R5 #2 Avec Mon Ami first up.

Couldn't back anything with Mark Newnham on it, if Newnham wins on anything at the provincials it is well up to city Saturday class, while I do think AMA is probably the best horse in the race I doubt Avec Mon Ami has any pretensions to city class so I would prefer to lay it than back it,
I reckon her best is Shekels of Gold, with her other one in that race the danger, Tukso

Looking at a couple of Messaras, do his tend to come up under at Scone?

R2 - GLARE
R3 - HUSSTERICS

I reckon if you could get 3.5+ for either or both you'd be getting a decent price.

Think Feng Shui could run a race for the new stable hasn't seen a lot of dry tracks and should be a great price compared with the fav,
R4 N1 is also a messara runner and looks hard to beat but again price will be the worry.

Walcha Cup day tomorrow.

#3 Prior Baron ran 3rd to Triple Elegance and Lone Command last start. Gets into this race with 2 above the limit and looks the best of good things. Lucky Elmo at his best will provide some opposition.

Have R4 (Ron Martin Maiden) #2 Komodo Blue and R6 #2 Metric Mile marked out for a parlay with PB.

Was a time when I went to this meeting every year. Good luck to the club tomorrow.

Down in Canberra, Matthew Dale only has 4 runners, two in the same race, but I reckon they all have good chances.

Matthew Dale
Race 4  FILIPA Mathew Cahill
Race 4  NOTJUSTAPRETTYFACE
Race 6  HAPPY FINISH Shaun Guymer (a2)
Race 7  KRIEGSPIEL Brendan Ward

Can't believe Prior Baron paid $3.40 and Komodo Blue $3.10. The Easter bunny arrived early

Shame about Metric Mile - the shortest price of the 3. How often does that happen in your parlay

2 out of 4 for Matthew Dale. Filipa @ $2.60 and Kreigspeil @ $4.90.

CRUELLA DE VIL is the first today at Cessnock went around in a Hawksbury maiden a few weeks back raced fresh and was ridden out a bit but won the trial whcih should be good enough to account for these.

Eclair Surprise is given a chance in the G1 Aust Guineas today. If you look at the form of Newcastle R4 #1 Shadowofexcellence you'll see it ran 3rd to that horse in the Listed UCI stakes in the Spring. Performed OK against dual city winner Maule's Creek last start. Form seems to be many lengths over the other maidens, and the 1850m suits. A 3yo carrying 5 kg above the limit and the barrier stop it short of being "declared". Bart's lightly raced horse #3 Excelsis Deo is by Golan (sire of Kibbutz and Castle Heights) and has some form - goes into exotics. #4 Galilean Moon is out of a Zabeel mare and having only it's 2nd start for Waller - being placed at it's first start.

I reckon there is a on pace rails bias, at least so far. It will be interesting to see how they ride Shadowofexcellence in this grade.

Very good effort.

The 2nd horse was able to rally again when looking to miss a place to confirm my thoughts of a rails on pace bias.
