Recent addition to the NSW country racing jockeys ranks Skye Bogenhuber will ride
#4 Still Undaunted for boss Brett Cavanough. This horse is ultra consistent and last start in the Daniel Baker Sprint at Coffs was held up most of the way down the straight. Only thing is he goes from 1200m up to 1600m but is one win from one start at the distance and won this year's Wallabadah Cup over 1500m.
#2 Red Knot is 3rd run back up to the mile and had ran regular good races in city midweek company last campaign and with the claim drops significantly in weight on what has been recently carried.
In a strong Cup meeting there is some extraordinarily good city form in some of the races.
R1 #2 Sneak Preview was near the lead in his only start at Newcastle before fading a little to run 6th. First up and 100m less this time and was 5th to yesterday's Rosebud winner Sandbar in a city trial recently.
In Race 4
#1 Olifants (ex Godolphin) and
#2 Pip's Pick (ex Darren Weir) debut for their new stables and for mine do not appear to be handicapped high enough for the others to be considered a threat. Take your pick.
Race 7
#1 Absolute Ripper is a giant of a mare resuming with 63 kg but she should handle that over the 800m scamper. In her recent trial she treated her rivals with contempt and her City/Hawkesbury form last campaign was enough for this.
#9 Yeas And Nays has good Provincial form last campaign and faded first up after leading. Back 300m in distance and will carry less weight than she has for a long time.
#14 Squared another who will not know herself with 51 kg and drawn to run a race at big odds.
