As the price suggests Awesome Pluck has today’s country heat at his mercy but it’s a very deep race between the rest
#2 Awesome Pluck Looks a peach over the 1200m - not so sure when/if it gets to the final over 1400m.
#1 A Lot Like Home never ever runs a bad race (15 starts 5 wins 6 placings) and resumed in a very strong Class 6 on Grafton Cup day last time running 3rd - resumes again today and you'd have to guess he'd be ready for this. The weight conditions suit both him and Awesome Pluck and both drawn well.
Jenny Graham quinelled the race last year with subsequent Championship winner Victorem and has a good second stringer with
#11 Let's Rebelle (8 starts 4 wins 2 placings). Drawn out in the Hastings River so will need some luck.
#13 Malea Magic is a lightly raced 3YO filly trained by Bob Milligan at Taree. Last start he took her to town and she must have run 1200m in an 1100m race she was so deep and if you look at the replay she is finishing on at the end.
Chances given to lightly raced hoses #8, #9 and #10.
#8 Jumper Leads could be anything but unproven over the 1200m. Should be close to the lead from the barrier.
Spent a week up there recently and there has been no rain for a while so track will be on the hard side.
