Chatuchak – B Avdulla advised his mount had difficulty obtaining clear running in the straight and after
he was obliged to correct his mount near the 200m, it was then held up on the heels of Zin Zan Elsie
and whilst the horse finished some margin from the winner, he felt that in the circumstances, his horse
had impeded running in the straight, and therefore the performance still had some merit. A post race
veterinary examination revealed an aggravation to a speedy cut to the near hind pastern.
Volante – in the straight, B Avdulla pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that
near the 200m, he permitted his mount to shift out when not clear of Volante, which was checked. B
Avdulla’s licence to ride in race was suspended for a period to commence on Sunday, 9 July 2017 and
to expire on Monday, 17 July on which day he may ride. Volante had difficulty obtaining clear running
in the early start of the straight.
