I get the feeling people have written her off on the basis it's Singleton and Waterhouse involved in terms of her OS aspirations.

I maybe wrong but I wouldn't be surprised to see her have success OS.

Her overall record might not show it but I doubt she's inferior to horses like Elvstroem, Starcraft and Haradasun that had success OS.

I'm biased because I'm a huge fan but it remains that she's only had one full preparation as an older horse...there she managed to win the Ranvet and BMW. That puts her in similar company to a horse like Eremein who, had he not been ruined by injury, would sit alongside most of the better horses in the last 10 years IMO.

Geez, I reckon she deserves better than being compared to Pentastic.

22 Starts - 21 in Group Company.

18 starts in Group 1 & 2 - 6 wins, 7 placings, 3 fourths, only twice further back.

Her record & stats say she can win o/s. In fact any horse that has won over a couple mill bucks is sure to be able to mix it with the best in world.

she's a good wet tracker - no more - seems blessed the rain comes down everytime she competes in a gp1 - no way she beats princess coup on a dry track - and most terrible bmw field ever - bog track for oaks - otherwise finland has her measure
she just not that good - a dry track this weekend and one of these very  sub standard lot will have her measure - can't work out who though- have a knock on almost all these

Because I think she is a dead set mile and a half horse, I find her difficult to line up, because she has a limited number of opportunities to show her best.  Having said that, she does seem to be at her best on soft ground.  In her favour, the Arc, which is their stated long term aim, is 2400m in Northern Europe at the start of October, you'd think she was some chance of getting ground in her favour.

I am not so sure about going to the desert, I think she'd be better off staying here for the Tancred again.

As an aside, why do our top horses keep going to that meeting?  We saw Pompeii Ruler go a couple of years ago when he had the Tancred at his mercy, now Tuesday Joy.  I can understand Europe or North America, or Hong Kong in December, but I just don't get the Aisian/Dubai thing.

The good thing is, if she goes she'll be given her chance with a European trainer.

I would suggest it's the prizemoney of around 8mill AUD...is that right??? Listed as 5mill US.

The fact they also pay for your expenses I think.

Is that for the Duty Free?  I didn't think the other races were worth that much more than ours, apart from the World Cup.

Anyone know what she's being set for this Spring?  Cox Plate or Cups?  Have read she's having her first two starts in Sydney before coming south.

It's risky backing her ante-post, I know....but looking through the Cox Plate chances, many are equally injury prone (Pompeii, El Segundo), already doubtful (Theseo, Big Mal), 4yos being set for Cups (PP, Metal Bender), rising stars better kept for sprint-mile campaigns (Mic Mac, Typhoon Tracey, Black Piranha?), or unknown 3yos (Manhattan Rain etc).  She's a long way down early markets and a fit Tuesday Joy - who gets around MV well - would be a great chance if she started.

BH that was my thinking last year and had another look at her yesterday. Every indication is she's being set for the Melbourne Cup as her prime aim. And I agree she's a live Cox hope if they head that way...and I'd say they probably will. Reckon she's worth a risk if you like her.

They haven't confirmed her path to the MC...guessing her MC weight will play a part. Last year Singleton wanted to go Cox Plate - Melbourne Cup as he was concerned about winning a Caul Cup and getting more weight. Stable wanted Caul Cup - Melb Cup. I imagine they'll to and fro until pretty close to the Caul Cup.

Sure, and that's a big factor for her being $31+, not $15 in the Cox Plate.  Unless some 3yos or 4yos really prove to be open class stars, it could be a fairly weak Cox Plate, so just sniffing around for value.

Even horses like Vision and Power - not normal Cox Plate class - could end up being one of the better chances on the day if his Autumn form returns (and more so if it rains of course!).

Just thinking aloud.

I agree the bleeding is an issue...which is sort of why I didn't touch her.

And agree with your comments BH about the the quality of the CP...in the end that's why I punted on Onemorenomore...don't like touching the 3yos...he's hardly value but the stable are keen on the CP.

Using your thinking...I wonder if connections of Unsung Herroine might think along the same way.
