Need more of the promotion so good work PP.

One at odds is Franked but not mature enough I think. If SA Racing did a deal with RVL, ie Cup Order etc. quality would be better.

SA Government need to get behind racing in that state with the POC.

Peter,

Yes they did - they did the form rather than look at bookie tips.

PP, you’re not concerned with Sunlight first up? I always feel she’s off for her first run. 2nd  up gun

First up 5:1-3 - and a lot of those would have been in the very top grade.

I just love her to bits. Her game performance in the Golden Eagle stamped her quality.

Over $6 million in prizemoney from 21 starts, 11 wins and 7 placings for an 86% place strike rate.

2 barrier trial wins coming into this.

Go girl!!

Good luck mate, I just think those 4 losses first up were probably her worst 4 runs.

There was one yesterday I put in the blackbook.

Have a look at the run of Sacred Lass in the 4th race if you get a chance.

Race 1 at Adelaide is worth a look - crazy race.

The riderless horse has crowded the first two in the straight and from the side on if Dixon Street got beat he would have had grounds to protest except there was no jockey on the "winner".

Technically should have been declared a "no race" but what do you do? The horses that copped the interference ran 1-2 and it would be unfair to declare a no race and deny them prizemoney.

Flemington trip to reinvigorate Sunlight

Tony and Calvin McEvoy have resorted to travel in a bid to reinvigorate Sunlight ahead of The Goodwood at Morphettville.

Sunlight has been working at Flemington before she returns to the McEvoy's South Australian base ahead of Saturday's Group One contest.

Tony McEvoy reasoned the mare had become complacent in the country environment at Angaston and needed a spark ahead of The Goodwood.

The co-trainer said he felt cheated by Sunline's performance in the Group One Sangster Stakes (1200m) at Morphettville on May 2 when she finished last behind Bella Vella.

"I couldn't find anything wrong with her and I couldn't sit on my hands, so I had to make a change," McEvoy said.

"She has always been stimulated by travelling and I thought she might have been getting a little complacent in the country lifestyle.

"So I put her on the truck and sent her back to Melbourne."

Since making the trip to Flemington last week, Sunlight has not been idle.

McEvoy has factored in the Sangster race was a non-event and tailored her work accordingly.

"She cheated on me the other day and I can't put up with that," McEvoy said.

"I've galloped her like she didn't have that race.

"She galloped on the course proper at Flemington this morning and she'll continue working this week until she comes back on Thursday.

"We've checked her internally, externally, and she's got a clean bill of health."

We had a horse lacking "confidence" at Randwick on Saturday. Now we have a "complacent" mare

Was an out of character run for the mighty mare who won me over with her courageous second to Kolding in the inaugural Golden Eagle over an unsuitable distance.

I'd say if she doesn't perform in The Goodwood it might be all over.
