I'll go along with that; perhaps Lyre rather than Zoutori.

The column on the right hand side is the weight they would carry under bench mark conditions.

Interesting to note that several of the fancied runners will be carrying more weight than they would under the old Handicap conditions - this race is now SWP.

Santa isn't in too badly with the compressed weights given he has won the race before and is probably in the top two or three of the country's sprinters.

My only worry is hat he is getting on a bit (rising 8) and might be a length or two off his best.

TRSA investigating Tommy Stokes

Days after being fined for breaching betting rules in Victoria, trainer Phillip Stokes' son Tommy is now having his punting activities investigated in South Australia.

Stokes junior, who works for his father in Adelaide, was charged by Racing Victoria stewards and pleaded guilty to negligence in that he did not understand his obligation under AR237(2).

AR237 states: "A person employed by a trainer in connection with the training or care of horses must not lay any horse under the care, control or supervision of the trainer for whom the person is or was employed while employed and for a period of 21 days after ceasing to be employed."

Tommy Stokes placed seven lay bets on horses in the care of his father that raced in Victoria between April 24, 2017 and November 27, 2019 and made an overall profit of $502. He was fined $1500 by RV stewards but chief steward Robert Cram said 'they had no integrity concerns about the races themselves'.

Thoroughbred Racing South Australia stewards are now looking into Stokes' betting history in that state and he has been advised of the investigation by chairman of stewards Johann Petzer.

Laying horses in the care of your father is far more serious than backing them IMO.
