Eastern state visitors arrive into a typically hot Perth

Was looking for an acclimatised local in the Railway, missed the early good odds on Heart Starter. Not a bad run last time and well in at the weights. Also had something small on Neverland but it's more a Kingston Town / Perth Cup horse. Interesting form lines and weight swings on Perfect Reflection from last year.

Interested in Whispering Brook in the Guineas. Don't know the form but think i'd be happy to play at $8 at various bookies with odds boosts available.

Be good to get some input from those more up with the Perth form.

Just watched the Railway replay on the very good Perth CRIS website - http://www.rwwa.com.au/cris

Strong win by Scales Of Justice in the Railway, beautifully rated by Douglas Whyte. Surely will cop more pressure in the Kingston Town but can't knock that win.

Best of the run ons was Perfect Reflection, Kawi (no clear run and will appreciate extra trip, did have rails run though), Tradesman (had checkered run, possibly the value going forward). Good Project was solid. Mackintosh every chance.

Further back the Kersley horse Liteinmyveins will make a nice horse, was wide and good, possibly looking for more ground.

Neverland just ticking over, looks targeted solely at the Perth Cup.

Waller brings Vanbrugh over for the KT, 1800m looks good for him and Waller has a good line on the form through his other runners. Leaning to the ones already there with a prep run but $17 might be generous. Pressure wouldn't suit him perhaps.

First thoughts:

Terravista at his best would eat these for breakfast and returned very well. Must respect J Pride / Bowman combo.

Mal is tough, classy, third up and loves to win. The kind of horse you want to be backing. Short enough here though.

State Solicitor third up and won six from seven with Pike on. Don't mind it at the price.

Rock Magic unders.

Sheidel possibly, but was well beaten by Mal last time. Kind of deep into her prep vs some good horses cherry ripe third up, probably passing.

Probably back Terravista if I can find $5+ and SS at $10+ with possible saver on Mal if odds allow.

I've saved on Terravista & Malaguerra, nibbled Vega Magic and backed State Solicitor.

I'm going around Takedown & Sheidel.

State Solicitor went pretty well dragged back to last, barrier didn't help. Run that race ten times you get five different winners.

Terribleista never again now, too hot and cold (did take a wrong step at the 200-300 to be fair).

Good scenes after the race, well done Gary Moore.

Not sure where he could have gone on that one Wily, it was a massive run considering.

I'm surprised you haven't noted his two winners earlier for the stable on the day.

Oh dear

The funny part JWH, I've had a great spring, I'm well in front yet I've gone like busted in the Saturday tipping comp.

Yesterday I tip 3 from 4 with the 4th going down by a nose yet I've had a losing day on the punt

Article link - WFA to suit Kiwi Kawi in Gr1 Kingston Town - Racing and Sports

Final G1 of the year with some significant handicap to WFA weight swings from the Railway and $1,000,000 prizemoney on offer.

Looking at the weight swings I might back Kawi and save on Perfect Reflection, may even back both. Gonna be tough for Scales Of Justice assuming more pressure / WFA.

Updated with barriers (and correct race order sorry..). Scales Of Justice can't take a trick drawing the outside gate, ouch. Nice draws for favoured runners Perfect Reflection, Kawi and Good Project.
