Above average type won in Perth at the weekend, Solsay.
Sat up on the speed all the way and still kicked nicely at the finish.
Son of Mosayter

2 from 2 and looks more than handy.

This is a piece I did on that result on my facebook page.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Damien-Wyer-Racing-Bloodstock/109650695766611?v=wall

Mosayter, by Storm Cat, in the 2006 breeding season saw a small book of mares with just 32 mares returning with 7 missed, 2 slipped, 1 foal born dead, leaving just 22 live foals on the ground. From this 17 have been named to date with the f...ollowing results.

Of the 17 named foals, 6 are unraced, 6 are maidens but all bar one have had no more than 3 starts, 2 have been placed, again off only limited starts, and 3 are winners. They are Mr Moet, Mickey Drippin, and Solsay. All have won in town and each have two wins to their credit.

So, 3 winners from 12 starters to date from this crop, gives Mosayter a winning percentage of 25%. Quite a remarkable job for a Stallion that was written off by many experts here in the West. The most recent win on Saturday of Solsoy, was the 19th win of the season for Mosayter progeny, with 11 individual winners from 32 runners.

With the general acceptance that Mosayter stock requires a modicum of patience to produce results, and with a 2yo crop that has already produced city winner Final Cut, Mosayter’s departure from WA may have been premature, as the best may still be to come.

What a shit camera angle on SKY emthdown

Camera would be no more than 1m past the post JWH.

Even though the margin was a nose I never had any doubts as to the result.

The one I was watching was about 100 yards before the post.
The Sky footage if played in slo mo and frozen on the line shows the outside horse winning by the barest of margins despite the TV camera being slightly after the line. You can see in the foreground a cameraman taking the ground shot standing right on the line. Once you account for the angle, it was a no brainer that the outside had won.

I'm not complaining about the result, (I'm over that; I've already cried me a river) but I watched the race at the rubbidy and only saw the live coverage, and I'll swear the horses were running away from the camera when they hit the post.

If that SKY camera was after the post, I'll give up drinking.

Post by: Rodent on 2011-Apr-28, 12:08 PM
The live coverage is from a camera after the post. That gives the impression of the inside horse doing a fraction better than it does in reality. If the camera were before the post, in the vision you saw, the outside horse would have appeared to have won comfortably.
You may need to give up drinking

That'll about do me for Perth racing, yet another one goer in race 4, the winner of the maiden Quickie, in a 15 horse field from a wide barrier (13)  slotted in one out one back, leader a $6 chance got blowtorched in the run by a roughie and capitulated as expected, the chosen one Quickie swept to the lead and won like a $1.20 chance (was $7 late in betting and paid $4.10) I had 6 runners involved in my bets,  the nearest any of them came was the fav (4th) the 2nd and 3rd horses were double gutsers about $30 each  :what: The race before, the Pontiff rode the $1.50 fav and in a 7 horse field it struggled into 3rd (i had it in a couple of exactas to run 2nd as you would) I'm totally out of my depth at this caper now, horses i used to lay with consistent form like Quickie and Hollywierd (winner Doomben race 6) are mostly winning these days, it matters not if they are "unders" they simply lob. I thought that consistent horses pay a weight penalty, it doesn't seem to matter anymore  :confused1:  The bigger the field the bigger the certainty, the smaller the field, the bigger the UNcertainty   race 5 Bunbury the same story, big field, the short fav wins, 60/1 shot 2nd and a 25/1 shot runs 3rd. It's all too hard

Just checked the QLD TAB divvies for Esperence, and i noticed that the double paid MUCH bigger than the treble, and the double pool wasn't all that small, being roughly half the treble. In summary, the treble got heavily oversmashed. The three winners paid $1.90, $8.10, and $3.60 home state tote

DD   2* 5        $94.80     :o                 DD(6,7) $2362     pool

TT   1* 2* 5    $65.80                TT(5,6,7) $4628   pool

I noticed it as it happened Wily as Perth so the start from the front, I thought he grabbed the reigns as the horse went up to try and keep it down, unfortunately it was simultaneous to when the gates opened.

Just one of those things sadly.

Stewards sort of agree with you

Correct weight was delayed approximately 5 minutes whilst Stewards viewed the head-on footage of the start in relation to RAUCOUS LAUGHTER (Jason Whiting) rearing as the gates opened. Statements were taken from the RWWA Starter Mr M Vickers, Assistant Starter Mr M Faassen, Trainer Mr S Wolfe’s representative Mr C Beros and Jockey Jason Whiting. It was established that immediately as the start was activated RAUCOUS LAUGHTER then simultaneously reared with its barrier attendant attempting to balance the gelding before then releasing it. Stewards determined that this incident was attributable to the behaviour of RAUCOUS LAUGHTER in rearing and consequently deemed that it was not denied a fair start and it was therefore determined to be a starter under the provisions of AR.134A

race 5 at Albany, the 4 Panaster Boy bounced out of the gates and led with intent, and slammed the brakes on when the 25/1 stablemate Prince Nabe appeared on the scene, then he sat behind it till the turn, and then ran wide and interfered with the 2nd fav, eventually losing 2nd place on protest. The 25/1 stablemate led all the way. Hunter also had the 12 in the race, a 4/1 chance and was never in it

After the last run all I wanted to be on was Rebelson, 3 & 4 deep the trip and still boxing on at the end to be beaten a length 4th when entitled to drop out, draws inside & meets everyone 3kgs better at the weights.

From this morning's WA press.....

WA's peak horse racing authority has been rocked by allegations of systemic race fixing involving Eastern States betting syndicates, with up to 10 WA jockeys on their payroll.

In an extraordinary letter last month to racing industry leaders, including Racing and Wagering WA chief executive Richard Burt, the author highlighted five races since December that he believed were "manipulated" by the syndicates.

"The information I have accumulated isn't just the races that have been fixed," he wrote.

"I also have the list of individuals involved and the mobile telephone numbers associated with most of those individuals."

Mr Burt said yesterday the allegations were taken seriously and investigated by an expert panel, which found no evidence to substantiate the claims after studying video evidence of the races.

"We treated it at the highest level," Mr Burt said. "We believe the claims are inaccurate. We would argue the races were in accordance with the rules of racing."

The letter, which was obtained by _The West Australian _ amid speculation its author is a leading Perth jockey, named four other jockeys allegedly involved in Perth and country race day stings.

None of those jockeys was spoken to as part of the RWWA inquiry.

"The past 12 to 18 months in WA racing have been the worst I have ever known for race manipulation," the letter said. "I should know as I have been involved indirectly."

The author called on race officials to investigate phone records and money trails that led to suspected jockeys.

He described the betting syndicates as "well-oiled machines" that used the teams of jockeys to set up wins for horses that have been the targets of significant betting plunges.

"The bottom line is that what is occurring on the track is systematic abuse," he wrote. "It is insider trading as inside knowledge is being used for financial gain. If the truth did come out it would be very embarrassing for RWWA and the State Government."

Mr Burt agreed there was a perception in the industry that a lot of money was being wagered in WA from syndicates in the east.

"It's important to manage the reality and the perception of integrity in the industry," Mr Burt said.

"We're putting on another investigator. We'll be seeking more pre-race analysis and betting information so we can see what's happening in the betting markets and how the race should unfold according to those betting markets.

"What we have to be careful of is not overreacting to normal things that unfold in racing."

The letter said one of the methods used by the syndicates was to organise jockeys to allow a horse which naturally leads out in a race to stay in front and win. In one example given, the price for the horse shortened significantly before the start and the horse was a surprise winner.

"Apprentices have limited involvement, but that will change," the letter's author wrote. "The breeding ground is toxic and something has to be done. Your next generation could be totally tainted."

In February, RWWA completed an inquiry into separate claims about race fixing by a Sydney betting syndicate and found "misinformation and unfounded speculation" were behind the allegations.

RWWA said at the time there was no evidence of inconsistent betting patterns or any correlation to a rider's mounts being backed.

But in the letter last month, RWWA was warned if no action was taken over the allegations it would be referred to the Corruption and Crime Commission.

The author claimed to have provided all the information to a lawyer.

"Go back a couple of weeks," he wrote. "The race was won by (name deleted). I can assure everyone the race was well and truly determined before the gates opened."

Mr Burt said he was not interested in the author's identity and accepted that whistleblowers were needed in racing.

"We've investigated it," he said. "We've put it to the highest people in the industry. We've committed more resources."

Any thoughts Carey & Rodent as you are both  followers of WA Racing ?

Post by: jfc on 2013-May-09, 09:47 AM
Disgraceful cop out by RWWA, reminiscent of RVL.

Ask for money so as to let the fixing continue.

And it seems to me that if you go to the trouble of regularly fixing races, you would also make the small effort to utilise the illegal Asian betting outlets that our media is oblivious to.

According to WA reports the letter submitted was unsigned. Della how do you think that "individual will be taken to account" ?  I heard Fred Kersley say today that at a convened meeting all trainers , jockeys and owners ( how many owners he did not say  ) were adamant  that WA racing was beyond reproach. They would say that , what else would one expect them to say ?.the trainers and jockeys have a vested interest

Looking like Perth has been put off til Sunday?
Bit hot tomorrow apparently.

44 forecast Lert.
They were told it would still be 41 at 5pm.

Latest forecast has Sunday at 41 but a sea breeze should come in about lunchtime.

If you don't like Rob's unraced one, I think the 3 can get away with that race from 2 & 5 but obviously watch the betting on the 9

4 - Keen on the 2 to beat 3 & 4, happy to take on the 3 year old (8)

5 - 14 from 16 with chances to 11 & 13

6 -

7 - 6  from 8 & 2

Good racing tomorrow. I have a few black bookers running around with 3 in the one race, which is a recipe for disaster

High Limit - Ascot R2 No.6 (1200m):
Outlaw Pete - Ascot R6 No.5 (1600m):
Say Geronimo - Ascot R6 No.8 (1600m):
Top Show - Ascot R6 No.11 (1600m):
Strike The Stars - Ascot R9 No.4 (2100m):

Anyone got any thoughts on the program?

Wily, great days racing in the west

My thoughts fwitw -

R1 -

R2 - Arcadia Rose (5) was stopped when making a winning run 1st up, winner had flown once out, should atone here. Save on 4 & 6

R3 - Hobart Jones (1) when well against the older horses, big weight but may just be better than them. Chance to 2 (leader, back in distance) & 7 (down in class)

R4 - Real Love (11) was the bet of last week, if she reproduces she wins again. (7) has loads of ability (8) & (9) go well and (5) was good first up.

R5 - Cool Trade (2) 2nd up and should be ready. (1) should box seat & (3) whos back in distance the only chances

R6 - Disposition (1) unblemished record and should continue on having beaten most of these before, the step to 1600m shouldn't hold any problems. (5) was a little unlucky last start but not sure it would have beaten the (1) anyway, (10) will be on or near the pace & (13) will get home.

R7 - Leaning to a local, Testamezzo (5) should be spot on for today, (13) the obvious danger then back to (2) & (12) who should lead.

R8 - Going with Elite Belle (7) down in weight &will get back but storm at them late. Danger is the Respondent (16) who has had the perfect prep, down in weight too. Other chances include (1) (4) (9) & a sneaky one to (15) who wont know himself with this weight.

R9 - Rebelson (7) will lead them along, should pinch it. (14) next pick from (2) & (11) as an improver. (15) at any old odds may improve with the blinkers back on.

Best - R2 n5

Title: What may be going wrong at the ‘new’ Ascot track?
Post by: Peter Mair on 2015-Dec-19, 09:10 PM

What may be going wrong at the ‘new’ Ascot track?

Consider that  these times and sectionals, for the races run on a good-3 track at ‘new’ Ascot today, are more consistent with a ‘slow’ rated track:

Time: 0:59.68 Sectional Time: 0:34.82
Time: 1:25.74 Sectional Time: 0:35.99
Time: 1:12.26 Sectional Time: 0:35.26
Time: 0:59.65 Sectional Time: 0:34.83
Time: 1:36.43 Sectional Time: 0:36.04
Time: 1:38.22 Sectional Time: 0:35.48
Time: 2:14.35 Sectional Time: 0:35.31
Time: 1:31.50 Sectional Time: 0:35.51

Sectionals on good-3 tracks start with '34'.

The inflated F4 dividends for half the races run were consistent with ‘unexpected results’.

............. it seems that something is not right ....... the times are ‘slow’ compared to reasonable expectations if the track were running true to form on a good 3 surface.

Whoever runs racing in WA may like to say something to explain these outcomes, please.
Title: What may be going wrong at the ‘new’ Ascot track?
Post by: Gintara on 2015-Dec-19, 09:55 PM
Ol'Pete, not sure what you want as you make absolutely no sense what so ever.

Forget times & sectionals, open your eyes & do the form  :bulb:

Let's look at the races today -

1) 3 year olds with little exposed form (no bet)
2) $5 winner, good form, Peters owned, looked a nice bet
3) $7.50 winner, the 4 horses in the race finished 1 to 4
4) Short fav rolled, she was probably looking for further
5) $2.10 winner
6) false fav who then proceeded to knock down the likely winner, letting a roughie with momentum get home
7) $1.50 winner
8) $2.90 winner

It wasn't hard to win there today and I'm 4000km's away.

I suggest you open you eyes, watch the races & do the form instead of polluting the forum with deluded rants

I mentioned wind in a previous post.

There was a howling south westerly gusting around 50kph today.
Title: What may be going wrong at the ‘new’ Ascot track?
Post by: Peter Mair on 2015-Dec-20, 05:51 AM

The main question is about 'slow times'.

If wind was a factor -- what were we told about that -- presumably a head wind which can take a toll on leaders.

Is the new track still settling?

Generally, I would like the administrators to show respect for the punters and keep them informed of relevant factors.
Title: What may be going wrong at the ‘new’ Ascot track?
Post by: ACER on 2015-Dec-20, 07:43 AM
This is gold. Now slower times = roughies getting up
Most racing previews will talk about head winds etc
Who/where do yo want these things announced? How about you listen to the in depth previews of every state and I am sure you would have been given this info. Good grief.
Title: Perth Talk
Post by: Peter Mair on 2015-Dec-21, 08:19 PM

The plants are flowering

It seems the planters are thinking that everyone has the time to 'do everything' needed to do the form.

Not everyone does.

TAB punters do not want explanations of 'what went wrong' yesterday -- they want real time, on the pace and detailed warnings posted adjacent to 'track ratings'  -- if track ratings are compromised by related 'wind' and weather conditions, and track maintenance mistakes, we want to know that on the day well in advance of the race.

While this post related to WA as an illustration it should be prominent on the main TR page -- and not relegated/removed as a form of censorship.

The issue raised, and illustrated, applies to every race meeting -- not just ascot.

Two things O'l Pete, the first a word of advice -

If you can't do the work, you shouldn't be punting  :bulb:

The second a question -

What went wrong at Ascot? or do you ignore the explanations of the meetings you've been given and just continue blindly ranting away

I've wondered the same thing pegasyber.

If I add this image I get this:

(http://s27.postimg.org/j8xpdp9zj/famous_kandinsky_paintings.jpg) (http://postimg.org/image/j8xpdp9zj/)

The code in the post (replacing the square brackets with angle brackets so it will display) is:

<url=http://postimg.org/image/j8xpdp9zj/><img>http://s27.postimg.org/j8xpdp9zj/famous_kandinsky_paintings.jpg</img></url>

If you click on the image it takes you to postimg.org

If you edit the code to get rid of the <url=http....> and </url> (remembering that these will be square brackets not angled brackets) the image posts as "actual size" I think - and you do not get a link to the pictu

In other words, if you have the url of an image, say a jpeg like http://www.pxleyes.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/beauties/1.jpg and you put it in between <img> and </img> (square brackets) it will post the image direct from the internet, bypassing postimg.org and reproducing the actual size.

Actually Horse No 9  TARQUINN SHADOW    in ASCOT Race 6  had the fastest Weight Modified Speed Rating, of 97.5 about 2.2  lengths better than No 12 @ 95.3 that came fourth and 3.9 lengths better than No 1 @93.6 that came third, all good for a First Four.  In fact  all Perth Races are mostly Spot On in any computer race  analysis.  Secondly No 9 was Value if you could get 6.2/1  and there was  24/1  available  and ample room for that.

Not really his fault on Cosmic Storm, they went steady up front and the whole field bunched up.

Massive run to make up ground off that speed.

I gave up playing the All Ups, I used to end up like that and it did my head in, I do much better just playing each race on it's merits

Guys,

IF the corps LOVE you doing allups then the message is clear.

BUT a good judge can do well on formula bets - a formula 3 on those for eg would see you sitting pretty. It might also get you banned; which is another message!

THOROUGHBRED – STEWARDS INQUIRY – MISS HARLEY QUINN
27 NOVEMBER, 2017
 THOROUGHBRED
Thoroughbred – Stewards Inquiry – MISS HARLEY QUINN (Jockey Robert Markou) – Race 5, the Red Dust Holding Handicap (1213m) at Geraldton Turf Club on Tuesday 7 November 2017.
On Saturday, 25 November 2017 at the Geraldton Turf Club, RWWA Thoroughbred Stewards continued the adjourned inquiry into Jockey Robert Markou’s riding and handling of MISS HARLEY QUINN in race 5, the Red Dust Holdings Handicap at Geraldton on the 7 November 2017 and the fist gesture made by him towards Apprentice Brodie Kirby after passing the winning post.

After taking initial evidence from Jockey R Markou and Apprentice B Kirby (STELLAR IGNITION) immediately following the race, the inquiry was adjourned by Stewards to conduct investigations including a full betting analysis on the race.

Subsequent investigations were completed with numerous interviews conducted together with a comprehensive analysis of betting transactions on the race. From this, no areas of concern were identified in relation to any betting activities on MISS HARLEY QUINN and STELLAR IGNITION or any other runner in the race. From the thorough analysis undertaken, it was determined that all investments made on the race were within normal parameters.

After taking further evidence from Mr Markou on Saturday, 25 November 2017, he was found guilty to the following two (2) charges:

Charge 1-AR135 (b) for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures throughout the race to ensure his mount is given every opportunity to win with the specifics of the charge being that at Geraldton in Race 5 on the 7th November 2017 Mr Markou, rider of MISS HARLEY QUINN rode his mount with insufficient vigour over the final 40 metres of the event when it was reasonable and permissible to do so and consequently MISS HARLEY QUINN was not given full opportunity to win the event.

Charge 2-AR 175(a) with the specifics of the charge being that at Geraldton in Race 5 on the 7th November 2017 Mr Markou, at the completion of the event made a fist gesture after the winning post to Apprentice Brodie Kirby rider of the first placed STELLAR IGNITION and stablemate of MISS HARLEY QUINN which was improper.

The inquiry was adjourned with the Stewards reserving their decision on penalty.

On Monday 27 November, Mr Markou was advised that the Stewards had determined the following penalties in relation to both charges:
Charge 1 – A suspension from riding in races for a period of ten (10) weeks effective from the 25th November 2017 and to expire at midnight on the 3rd February 2017. When assessing penalty, Stewards took into account the seriousness of the offence, his prior record which showed an offence under the same rule in November 2011 for which he was suspended from riding in races for a period of six (6) weeks.

Charge 2 – Fine of $500. When determining penalty for this particular matter, based on the entirety of evidence, Stewards were of the opinion that Jockey Markou’s fist gesture to Apprentice Kirby after the race was an instantaneous reaction in jubilation when only becoming aware after passing the winning post that STELLAR IGNITION, a stablemate of MISS HARLEY QUINN had won the event and it was deemed to be a spontaneous reaction.

Corruption allegation against WA public servant Paul Whyte could hit $25m

The scale of corruption that a West Australian senior public servant allegedly perpetrated has leapt from $2.5 million to possibly $25 million, a Perth court has been told.

Paul Whyte, 56, was making his first appearance in Perth Magistrates’ Court after being charged with two counts of official corruption after a joint WA Police and Corruption and Crime Commission investigation.

...

and had spent the money on buying racehorses, paying a horse stud in New Zealand, and personal expenses and bills.

https://www.theaustralian.com.au/nation/corruption-allegation-against-wa-public-servant-paul-whyte-could-hit-25m/

The only horse I can find he was a part owner in was Volkoff a mare who was sent to Bryan Guy after winning black type in WA.

Down as "retired" now having last raced in August.

Woman becomes third person charged over alleged multi-million-dollar WA public sector fraud

WA Police have charged a third person over an alleged multi-million-dollar corruption scheme involving the state's Department of Communities.

A 45-year-old woman is facing nine charges of official corruption, stemming from the allegations previously laid against former senior public executive Paul Whyte and another man, Jacob Anthonisz.

Mr Anthonisz and the woman are not public servants.

Mr Whyte and Mr Anthonisz were originally charged with using fake invoices to fraudulently take $2.5 million in taxpayers' money, but police later revealed in court the final amount allegedly stolen could be up to $25 million.

Police are now alleging the 45-year-old Beechboro woman "acted in concert with the two men already charged as part of this investigation".

She is due to appear in court on December 16.

The allegations of corruption have shocked the WA Government.

Until his sacking last month, Mr Whyte was one of the state's most senior employees, employed as an assistant director general of the Department of Communities.

The charges have prompted the Government to set up a Public Sector Commission inquiry into the agency and tighten oversight and spending rules across departments.

Extent of racing interests becoming clear

Officials have also been probing Mr Whyte and Mr Anthonisz's interests in the racing industry, believing the pair owned around 100 racehorses between them in Australia and New Zealand.

That includes horses they owned in their entirety and others in which they held a syndicate stake, with those assets now frozen by the Corruption and Crime Commission.

WA Racing Minister Paul Papalia said some of animals would be cared for on a new Government-owned property to cater for retired racehorses, while others could be sold.

"There is some value to the horses, they are frozen assets," Mr Papalia said.

"Ultimately the whole thing will be resolved through either passing back to ownership through syndicates or sale of the horses."

Mr Papalia said it cost about $60 a week to care for each horse."

Ladbrokes Coral, BetEasy in the race for WA’s TAB

Ladbrokes Coral and BetEasy are both believed to be in the contest for the West Australian TAB, taking on the favourite Tabcorp.

The sales process is understood to be into the second stage after first round bids were due on October 28. Second round bids are due in January and a sale is expected to be finalised in June.

The operation is likely to be sold for more than $300m, and if funding that is returned to the industry had been included the price would be far higher.

Global wagering groups such as Ladbrokes already operate in Australia out of the Northern Territory. They chose the base for tax benefits, but those have since been offset by legal changes surrounding a point-of-consumption tax for betting.

Australia is the second-largest regulated sports betting market in the world.

Ladbrokes Coral is British with its global base in London. It has been subject to corporate activity in recent years, buying Gala Coral last year and then being bought by GVC Holdings.

BetEasy owns Crown’s former CrownBet business, which was purchased early last year for $150m from The Stars. It operates primarily in Australia.

Last year, The Stars reinstated the BetEasy brand following the integration of William Hill Australia into CrownBet.

The Stars acquired an 80 per cent interest in the combined companies through a series of transactions between February and April last year.

Now The Stars is expected to be subject to a $US6bn global merger next year with London-listed Flutter Entertainment, which is the owner of Sportsbet.

This month, bookmaker Matthew Tripp made a $250m exit from BetEasy after securing a deal to sell the remainder of his shareholding in The Stars, which is listed in Toronto.

Mr Tripp was a pioneer in Australia’s online betting market and son of famous bookmaker Alan, who purchased online bookmaker Sportsbet in 2005 for $250,000.

Sportsbet was transformed into a market leader before it was sold in two transactions, finalised in a $338m deal with Paddy Power Betfair, which is now Flutter.

Tabcorp is Australia’s largest wagering group and already operates TABs throughout the country except WA. For that reason, the $9.82bn gambling group is tipped as the frontrunner to buy the business, and is likely to be working with investment bank UBS for the competition.

However, a consolidation play exists for a newcomer, with the New Zealand TAB expected to be up for sale soon and the Victoria TAB licence up for renewal in 2023.

Major synergies exist for a group owning more than one TAB because betting is dependent on the same systems and IT platforms that support the business. Marketing also becomes an easier exercise.

The launch of the sale process by the WA government comes after consultation with the racing industry and broader community and the passing of legislation through state parliament.

Racing and Wagering WA to make minor variations to fixed odds management agreement
The ACCC has granted minor variations to Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA)’s authorisation AA1000423, pursuant to which RWWA and BetEasy entered into a management services agreement relating to fixed odds wagering until 30 December 2028.

On April 7 2021, RWWA requested two minor variations to the authorisation. Firstly, RWWA sought to include Sportsbet as a party to the agreement, enabling Sportsbet to perform some or all of BetEasy’s obligations to provide fixed odds management services to RWWA. BetEasy’s operations are being integrated into Sportsbet following the global merger of their parent companies in 2020. As a result, Sportsbet intends to become a party to, and perform some or all of, BetEasy’s obligations under the agreement with RWWA. Secondly, RWWA sought to amend the agreement to allow BetEasy/Sportsbet to provide transitional support to RWWA to assist RWWA’s transition to providing its own fixed odds management services, prior to termination or expiry of the agreement, not just after expiry or termination as is currently provided in the agreement.

Further information about the ACCC’s decision is available on the ACCC’s public register at: Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) - Minor Variation
