QCAT decision on a punch up at Ippy dogs IR decision set aside and substituted 3 months suspension one month suspended Darren  Russell seems a harsh decision on my reading of the learned member's decision Russell was provoked and has a good record and is held in good regard by club administrators who submitted character references a fine would have been more appropriate IMO maybe I'm getting  too soft hearted in my old age.

QRIC appeals QCAT decision on Currie jigger charges
14 September 2020
The Queensland Racing Integrity Commission (QRIC) has appealed the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) ruling that set aside an internal review which confirmed the Steward’s decision of May last year that found former Toowoomba Trainer Ben Currie guilty of jigger charges.
Stewards found Mr Currie guilty of engaging in an improper action following an investigation into text messages relating to the intention to use an electronic apparatus capable of affecting the performance of two horses.
On 20 August 2020 QCAT accepted Mr Currie’s appeal and ruled he did not breach AR175(a) setting aside the June 2019 internal review.
The Commission has appealed the decision to the QCAT appeals tribunal.

Nozi gets 6 weeks for failing to give The Grouse the best possible chance at Toowoomba it did look like he took it easy  but the horse is still a maiden and in his 20 year career Nozi has never been charged with an offence  like this before
