Good luck to one of the good guys in Qld racing, Blair Gibson from Brissy Races with the barrier draw for his horse Care to Think in the big race on Saturday.

It would be nice also if a friend of a friend who part owns I'm a Rippa managed to get a start but currently 25th in order of entry so I am not holding my breath!

Nice to see a long held Stradbroke eve forum tradition is happening again on Friday / Saturday , Rat I will sponsor you for your syndicate share. Let's nail the quaddie ( again ) this year.
A quick search shows these events occurring back in 2011 so it is at least  10 year anniversary of the event! Worth celebrating!

I'm sure those in control of Queensland Racing would be pleased Ben Currie doesn't have a runner in their signature race.

They might have  to entertain Liam Birchley in the Winner's bar though if Top Me Up......I mean Crack Me Up should win....It's a free drink I believe.

Anybody want a Public Relations job in horse racing at the moment?

Nemisis thoroughly enjoyed your wit with that observation. Or was it "black " humour bearing in mind Hawkes Racing have a galloper called "Top Me Up "

Good to see, a quick search couldn't find  where it was posted for for 2018

Indeed a fine achievement for the organisers, attended a few on the Fri/ Sat and had a good time, the best was the first back in the the days of the Slades the Chubby's and Racehorses + many others whose names escape me - great times and more the pity they have diaappeared.

Thanks PP7 I tried doing the final field but it came back jumbled.

Yes Westie it is a long standing tradition, thanks for putting the thread back on track. Shame the report function for comments being off-topic is being ignored by management -

Start your own thread to enjoy your "wit" rather than polluting this one

My early bets that survived were The Monstar which i have somehow drawn in the sweepstakes worth $200 with Bet365 on twitter and Spieth. If a scratching gets Danon Liberty a run I am on there too

So old Spud thinks other forum members are " polluting " his own personal site when "Nemisis" shows a dash of humour in regard to the Stradbroke Handicap. This " time honoured " event isn't even being conducted at its traditional home. That is probably the greatest joke of all. Hey Spud , many years ago a process called email was invented. That is where you send personal messages to friends or acquaintances. Through this medium you can tell them riveting information such as who you draw in sweepstakes which I am
sure , while fascinating to you and your own circle is about as interesting as my recent ingrown toenail to the rest of the wide world out there.

PS I really can't wait to see if Danon Liberty gets a run so that you have got him going as well.

As long as Liam Birchley has a runner in the Stradbroke it is hardly off-topic.

Liam Birchley is one of the few cheats that has been caught and yet gets to chase Queensland's biggest racing prize.....and his son of Mossman is not without some chance.

Good on Racing Vic. appealing his lenient sentence and you would have to have some sympathy for Racing Queensland if Birchley gets led out to receive plaudits from the crowd as the victorious trainer.

I agree his runner is a very big chance of winning.

I have him in the top 5.

First rate training performance from the Stable. To the public Anthony has probably always been the "Ringo" of the quartet of the FBI . No one close to the organization has ever seen it that  way. His son who has been in charge of the operation in Brisbane must also be doing a top job.
