A mouthful but a real flying machine.

By Captain Sonador out of Tiyatro.

Tiyatro is an Encosta De Lago daughter of Matinee who was a handy horse trained by Shaun Dwyer and won 2 from 8 and ran around in races like the Reisling.

Matinee is a Flying Spur half to Staging, who won a string of black type races.

Well done mate.

No I'm a late starter     My first tip in the comp did get up though.

She looks one right out of the box. Breeding suggests she should get out to 1200m and maybe a bit further  :/

Some good pay cheques coming up for connections over the carnival you would think.

It was indeed dynamic today. Pings the gates, rolls to the turn, accelerates and puts a gap on them at the 300m and strolls home.

Not much else you could hope for from a sprinter.

Any idea what time they ran ?

I just love horses that can ping the gate like that.

Just wondering how forumites think the performance compares to past 2yo greats from Qld.

Can we compare her to the likes of General Nediym and Guineas ?

Long long way before we get into that territory

Old memory cells are saying 1965.  They were a pair of great two year olds.

That was the same year that that somewhat mad in-bred three year old, Midlander, was placed in the Melbourne Cup.

Ok, I should re-quantify ......

Does the performance remind anybody of their early 2yo starts.

I don't remember a 2 yo beginning so well and then accelerating like she did, except for maybe those two I mentioned.

Was quite a long time ago, so my memory may be a bit fuzzy.

One right out of the box

Seem like only yesterday when that pencil-thin bag 'O' bones  hopped off the TAA flight ready for the Slipper.

Can't knock it on ability it's so far unbeaten runs by big margins but not the sort of name that would associate it with the champion 2yo's from previous seasons....usually  good horses have good names ...this one might mean something to whoever thought it up...apparently based on the dam's name.....not another Wiggle. :bye:

Tiyatrolani goes around in the 5th at Doomben today, the G2 Champagne Classic.

Doubtless to say the competition is a bit stronger and she has to run 1200m for the first time.

I think the hardest to beat will be Kelso Wood's horse who ran 2nd to Capitalist in the MM - Nikitas

Souchez hasn't been seen since winning the G2 Pago Pago and looks up to this class.

Attention is a bit inconsistent but did win the G3 Ballieu Hcp. Stable have an opinion about Earth but probably looking for a bit further.
