It sure looked that way to me.

The still offered by Sky Channel certainly looked like there was a margin for Col 'N' Lil.

Did the connections ask to see the photo print?

Seems that photo thingy they show us might not be what hey adjudicate on.

The grey's nose as further into the white band than the other's.

The stewards examined the print before correct weight was declared.

Have seen the print which the stewards posted on twitter but unfortunately cannot get it to copy.

The image was rather blurred here but I think the correct decision was made

Police wanting to interview Ron Maund following altercation with Stewards at stables outside Toowoomba this morning.
More than likely as a result of General Cos's win there by 6 lens. on Saturday when backed in from $51 to $7.

Trainer goes on front foot against whispering campaign Ben Currie.

Queensland trainer Ben Currie says it is time for the whispering campaign against him to stop.

The Queensland Racing Integrity Commission on Tuesday took the extraordinary step of issuing a statement to quash rumours one of its stewards was under investigation for tipping off Toowoomba-based Currie about stable inspections.

QRIC Commissioner Ross Barnett insisted the rumours were baseless.

“I would like to make it categorically clear that there is no foundation to these rumours whatsoever,” Commissioner Barnett said.

“It’s grossly unfair to the steward concerned to tarnish his reputation in this way.”

Currie, who won the Queensland premiership in 2016-17 with 103 winners, told Racenet he had nothing to hide and did not have an improper association with the steward.

“I was at the stables when that inspection took place and I was even drug tested myself,” Currie said.

“The steward and I are not even that close.

“I don’t know where all these whispers and rumours are coming from but I want them to stop.

“I run my own business and maybe some people don’t like me for some reason, but it’s not as if I’ve been pushing my success down anyone’s throat.

“I don’t think I have been unfairly treated at all by QRIC and I’m not hiding anything.”

Barnett explained why he had taken the step of putting out a statement.

“I have decided to release a statement to put these rumours to rest because of the adverse way they reflect on the reputation of the Commission, the individual officer concerned and Toowoomba’s thoroughbred industry,” Commissioner Barnett said.

“It is vital that industry participants have faith in the work of the Commission’s Authorised Officers.”ENDS

The rumour referred to was posted as information received earlier today in Archie Butterfly's blog ...turns out there was no truth in it according to QRIC...clearly somebody is making mischief......not entirely unknown in racing circles or society in general ...the golf club is a hot bed of gossip on occasions. :o

Giddy Up

"It is vital that industry participants have faith in the work of the Commission's Authorised Officers " Is this bloke Barnett for real . The place is full of ex - Queensland coppers. History tells us what faith we should put in Queensland coppers.  For heavens sake the Racing Ministers' own family used to pay protection monies to Queensland coppers. What planet did he emerge from ?
