Could be that gratlog's girl is now based in Brisbane, whereas young Evans is perhaps doing a lot of Nolan's trackwork at Twba.

Impressive return to racing by CHAKVETADZE.  emthup

She got a dream run on the turn, but she'd have won regardless.

My wife had Hyde Park going in the double but she would have only wasted the $300 anyway

You'll make it up to her, gratlog.

Haven't looked at the first again, but was your girl unlucky on the second dog?

Not sure if the horse just couldn't muster early speed , but Amy dropped right back and got into heaps of traffic.

    Reasonable run in the end

Some were surprised when the Nolan team switched from Amy Taylor to Brent Evans, but the young lad has kept CHAKVETADZE's record intact..

Great ride today, and in keeping with what we've seen in recent weeks.  emthup

If Desuetude draws a barrier, it wins without doubt. 3 and 4 deep without cover the trip up near the lead and had the audacity to hit the front momentarily.
Full credit to the winner   emthup  had a saver on it.

From The Ear in today's C-M:

SURELY the new lights at Toowoomba aren't really held up by wooden posts?

172 Noms for the first meeting back.

It should be a cracking night with a great new track and new lights.

I'm looking forward to watching on Saturday night.

Be from the loungeroom this week as it is a bit cold for me up at the top of the range at this time of year.

Plenty are regretting the fact they didn't get the job of the lighting project consultant.

Looking forward to seeing the result on Saturday night.

Interesting to note that only 33% of the nominated runners are trained at Clifford Park.
This could be attributed to the fact that prior to the installation of the cushion track over 650 horses were trained there. There are now about 350 trained on the track.

Over 100 are now being trained on a private track at Westbrook.
Have no idea on the rest

Off topic, but when I was a youngster we would be threatened with being sent to Westbrook boys home if we didn't start going to school.

Hope this weather picks up for Saturday's big day.  Not our typical nice Qld winter days at the moment.
   Showers and a bit cool.

Will still get a good crowd and accommadation might be a bit scarce up there, especially close to the course.

Should be some good racing with the prizemoney on offer.
