Hmmm,

Some real hard luck stories today. One reason to not bet so big in the race perhaps.

firezuki,

Yes the winner went around the trouble in the straight as some early leaders fell back into the laps of those behind costing them their momentum.

Jockey changing mounts your final decider firezuki?

Head on shot says quite a different view - Marmelo squeezed mine out going for its run

I liked his last two runs - particularly the Gordon.

LIke to thank Arthur for that website so I got to see that replay.

Couldn't find it on YouTube.

Hadn't run the distance but looked like he would.  He sure did.

You can spend so much time 'studying form' for so little result at times.

I always leave something in my account to have something on the 'best parading horses'

Out of the yard I picked Prince of Arran and Marmelo and even took a little duet for one of the few times in my life.

The bandages first time on Cross Counter was a bit off putting for me but I'm certain the son of Teofilo would have enjoyed the softish track.

Top ride by M Walker on Prince Of Arran and very good to see Charles Road defying his price with his 7th placing.

An impressive win. There’ll be plenty of Northern Hemisphere 3yo entrants next year!

So unfortunate  with Cliffsofmoher, euthanised according to Bruce. It looked a terrible break.

I laid the winner on Betfair @ $9.20  and backed it on NSW TAB @ $12.20. When I first looked at NSW, about 10 minutes before race, it was paying $15.50 with $9 million in win  pool. I reasoned it could not shorten to $9.20 so I laid it on Betfair , then backed it on TAB.
Easiest money I have made for quite a while, with no risk. Winner was the only runner in race that it was possible to arbitrage with no risk at such a late stage in betting.

Kudos to the trainer who had a magic year so far.

McEvoy does back to back on different horses so again a super performance.

I do hope this horse comes back next year to defend his title but somehow I do doubt it as he will probably go up a few kgs on today's weight.
