A terrific race today.

I hope it is the first of many with the 2 and also the third horse was an excellent run

I thought he was gone.

To fight back as he did shows he has what it takes.

There is are a couple of horses called Super Seth and Alabama Express that could make the Australian Guineas a lottery. However the mail is they won’t be running in it.

If the race is run like a repeat of yesterday in the Guineas might set it up for a horse that sits off the pace.

Both horses yesterday ran well but interesting to see how much they have left as they have been up for a bit.

Bit rough that Catalyst had to give him a kg when Alligator Blood has won more than 4 times the stake money.......that's the problem with gimmicky races.....and that kg looked to me like it counted.

The elephant in the room with the trainer will always be his life before his personal problems.

The extraordinary success he had at Kembla Grange in the 90's is hard to forget .......he was putting many lengths on horses.
 When he was busted for using elephant juice it just all made sense.
It's a chapter in his story that has never had a proper explanation.

The victims of cheating are the people who have been dudded so my sympathy goes to them first not to mention the poor bloody horses.

Long time ago and a young guy but you can't pretend it didn't happen.

He, at one point, many years back now, had a serious alcohol and heroin problem.
It's over, and should not define him or be raised ad hoc...
He is, I think, a believer in Jesus and has been saved from addiction because of his faith.
He is a very open, lovely guy...wish him all the best with this beautiful horse.

I see the trainer mentioned the Everest-Golden Eagle double.

That should be the focus.

If he were mine I'd be giving him a break and maybe pick up a couple of races in Brisbane in winter (10,000 and Stradbroke ideal distances) then focus on Sydney in the Spring.

After reading below, you can take it a few ways.

AB had a lot taken out of him and he has recovered well. The other scenario is it’s 5th run in. This is the deepest he has ever run. I am also doubtful if he will back up in the All Star Mile if it is a tough race in the Guineas.

gee I could not back either of the 2 favs with counterfeit money! Not that they can't win but if you back one it has to beat the other one and you are taking a short price....not like they are the only chances either....If I have a bet it will be Dalasan.....there has never been a lot between AB and Dalasan and one is $2.80 and the other is close to 20/1 ($17 I saw with a boost)....he had no luck last time on a wet track, made his run early 4 wide around turn and was uncontrollable in the straight, jockey could not keep him on a straight line, he was hanging in badly threatening to cause severe interference, he switched whip hands all to no avail.....a Tongue Tie goes on this week....if he got his tongue over the bit that would explain it.......I don't think he will win.....but he is not a 20/1 chance either!
