He was 0/3 today. Losing streak extended to 10. He is also 1/33.

Poor Richie was 0/5 today with a couple of shorties going under too.

His losing streak is out to 15 and he is now 1 out of his last 38 tips.

One thing we know is that given his back pedalling recently, Mair won't be too critical of Richie

...... not a good day again for the cant-tip-cant-write set

.............'professional' tipsters had another day that questioned their competence.

[ ........one exception was Monty in Sydney --  but he cant deal with the rubbish RVL serves up.]

It was a shocker across the board, bar Sydney -- Richie Rich, among others, had another bad day.

True to form the 'tips from the big bookies' went awry on the 'cant wins' -- 3 said Adelong could not and others potted 'Realm of Flowers' and 'Dirty Work'  -- one can only wonder ....

........there is something wrong here ..... probably us reading the nonsense ...........

Haven't looked at the rest yet but this horse will be the highlight of the day.

This is The Autumn Sun's Snitzel half sister - it is actually Archanna

First race start she blew in the market by what must have been some sort of record, they had trouble getting her into the barrier, then she was 3 deep the entire trip and fighting the rider and looked 1,000-1 in the run but ended up winning like her more famous brother. Outstanding win. Worth a look.

It was a very good run. $2 and Richie on it. Big burden.

Richie has some good tips for Kensington but I though the same on Friday too.

Hopefully Richie can bounce back.

The Kensington track is dirty-work -- best avoided

.................. how and why Richie Rich would say this is beyond me ... we know he has to:

A cracking seven races with good sized fields on the Kensington circuit tomorrow at Randwick is what will face us punters. The weather looks like holding for the meeting before it turns nasty later in the week.

How can inflated field races for low grade horses be described a 'cracking'  -- for 'us punters' ..... how can fields inflated to capacity be called 'good sized'  ....and why would it be better to bet tomorrow than on Saturday whatever the track ?

..................this is not proper journalism.

The reason it's not proper journalism Peter is because Richie is not a proper journalist......he is a promoter!
Do we have any proper racing journalists in the state?
There is surely no-one following his tips anywhere.

Hulk in the 2nd is one of 2 Waller runners.......J Mac trialed them both and opted for the other.
Waller has 3 runners in the 5th and while the fav. does stand out......history tells you 'don't do it.'...interesting the Ocean Park filly Bowman's on, hasn't trialed.

As usual watch the betting very closely.....much better than following 'racings most controversial commentator'

Very strange early betting on race 5.

Earth Song hasn't exactly set the world on fire after 9 starts yet has been backed in from $15 to $10.

Archanna opened $2, got backed in to $1.75 then eased back out to $2. Is $1.40 on the tote and I reckon that is closer to what it will start - although it did ease (according to RA) from $2.90 to $6.00 on debut - pretty sure the drift was worse than that.

The Bowman mount has had 12 starts for 1 win.

I'm a sucker. Have taken the early $2. Intuitively that is overs. Time will tell. Archanna to me looks like a black type horse. The others are struggling to get out of BM 70 grade.

Let's hope Macca doesn't have it 3 deep the entire trip

If there is one jockey you want on the early Waller fav......it's J Mac.
Doesn't get involved in the nonsense  stewards seem to allow the stable to get away with.....because he doesn't need to.

Can really ride  this boy.......the horse just needs to be good enough.
All those who took $4 Shamusu Sho in the Highway on Sat......you can come out of the naughty corner now and demist your bifocals.

Multiple Waller runners scare the crap out of me. I have lost so many quaddies in the past due to this.

Unless a superstar or a high class performer, some of his runners have off days before bouncing back. Nothing nefarious with that but sometimes jockey changes, barrier draws, pace and track can see some runners change form dramatically especially over a distance.

Archanna and Hulk are probably his best but we will see.

Archanna into $1.75

All it has to do is win now - I think there is a unstated rule where God stops your horse from winning if you backed it early and got overs

Race 5#7 Arachana

Race 7#11 Miss Redoable

Richie had a winner today so 1/5.

His losing streak ends at 16 but is 0/3 since his last winner. He is also 2 winners out of his last 43 tips. Let’s see how he goes.

The big man maybe on a roll with a winner today and the Hulk was his winner too.

As I said

The Kensington track is dirty-work -- best avoided

............... the racing gods had something to say about inflated-field racing served up on a track becoming notorious for delivering rough results.

Today was a disgrace -- Quadrella paid $50,000, one F4 effectively paid some 25k, five other F4s paid an average of 6k and the early-Q paid 2.5k.

Archanna look flat as a tack when asked for an effort. Unremarkable run from a $1.70 favourite.

Jmac seems to be going in front of the stewards a lot lately explaining why his mounts didn't perform. The "laying in" bit is grossly overstated IMO.

RACE 5 –Vale Caryl Williamson Handicap 1400m

Jazette–began awkwardly.

Archanna–began only fairly.Rider J McDonald informed Stewards that when placed under pressure in  the early  part  of  the  straight, Archanna had  a tendency to  lay in  and  in  his  view, the filly  was  still immature. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

As I said there was something very strange going on early in the betting there.
