I have used Beteasy since it started out, having been Crownbet. As i am just a small time punter, the promotions and matched deposits enticed me to use them.
But recently, they seen to run less promos, with far less bet returns or deposit match options? Whats happening with Beteasy?

I asked the same question a while back, noticed the 'bet returns' had gone. I wondered if it was just me or had I been shortened up.

I was told it was at the discretion of the traders and they were being more selective when they have them  Yesterday was the the first day since that I'd seen a couple  :chin:

I used to get around 7 bet returns on a saturday, but now 3? But what i did like about beteasy was the amount of promos offered, but hardly any now.
I live in nz, so when i deposit it is in aus money, but when i withdraw i lose about 10% in bank fees? Beteasy account manager used to contact me, but now he never replies! No wonder, i bet majority now with nz tab & betfair.

PlayUp offers deposit bonuses.

Rest donít seem to.

365 is the worst for it.

Good old $3.65 . . (some say)

After about 12 months of not betting with them I made the mistake of making a deposit and trying to bet into an early market . . Limited to 75 cents

Raceday attempt saw my selection mysteriously drop from 31.0 to 19.0 only to just as mysteriously return to 31.0 when I cancelled

Deposit now back in my a/c

Sportsbet do the same 'odds drop trick' on raceday . . but at least will let you on into their early markets

PS . . $100 is a big (and only occasional) bet for me

Anyone else have any feedback on Beteasy? Does every punter have an account manager to contact? Do you think they have far less promotions?
Be keen on other operators in Aus that may be worth trying, think i need to move on from beteasy.

Beteasy like most others cut back around the time the Tax was increased, something had to give, V'Landy's and Co etc, decided Godolphin and co were the ones that needed more money and Punters were the ones who should pay, it's easy to blame the Bookies but they are a Business after all, unlike most punters who punt for recreation and expect to lose, Bookies are there to make a Profit, when costs go up on one end they need to cut costs on the other, taking away promotions is just the beginning, very few notice but the percentages are up substantially, especially in the early markets, my turnover has dropped considerably over the last few months as I am not a compulsive Punter and making a donation to help John O'Shea, Chris Waller, Godolphin etc will never be part of my agenda.......I enjoy a punt but I won't bend over for anyone to take advantage of me, this idea that it goes to a good cause is absurd in the extreme,
My point is Know your enemy, in particular know who the real enemy is.......it's kinda like racism in a way, Big business and right wing Politicians love to use Racism, they like to divide and conquer, tell poor white people that the real problem is the poor black people are taking all your stuff and vice versa, get them fighting with each other while the rich whites and the rich blacks steal them blind.........The Multi millionaire's in Racing love it when Bookies and Punters are at each others throats and not watching what they are doing......Robbing both sides blind....I don't blame them one bit, it's called self interest........but don't urinate on me and try and tell me it's raining.....self interest should work both ways....anyone who can't see that.....well good luck, ya gunna need it!

I've stopped using them for the same reasons as you mentioned. I also noted their odds offered pre race were less than other places I looked
Their website is shit as well

Yes, I think your correct wiley ole dog. The bet boost options mean nothing if their odds are set below others.
I have a feeling they are feeling the pinch a little, will be interesting to see how the future goes.

Beteasy like most others cut back around the time the Tax was increased

They started to cut back long before that Dave.

The competition and promotions when there were about 10 corporates trying to get everyone's business was something that was never sustainable.

How can you possibly make money paying out bonus bets if your horse finished in the first half of the field like William Hill were doing?

It produced a false economy.

With the corporate bookmaker market now consolidating there was always going to be a requirement to move to profitability for those that are left.

And that means less promotions and restrictions on successful punters.

The POC tax has eroded the margins of those getting rebates and some of them are exiting.

Maybe these so called "bookmakers" could start running their business like a bookmaker and they wont have to close the doors
In fact, to actually call them bookmakers is a disgrace

Well I got the e-mail today - promotions are removed from my account.

I spent awhile going around in circles with 'Alex' on the live chat who simply refused answer a simple question as to why nor provide any reason - he was smug about it too  emthdown

Such a pathetic organisation that limits an account of what would be considered a small punter.

Of course you're right PP, it was a bad choice of words on my part to say they "started" to cut back when the Tax was increased.....What I should have said is they got a lot more savage on the cut backs when the new Tax was introduced.........It was possible to win consistently and still stay under their radar pre July........but now they don't miss anything and don't let anything slide.......They stop things like money back offers if you only bet with them when they have a "special" if you don't bet into their 150% markets (without a bonus/price increase) they don't want to give you any "bonus" and they won't take a decent bet off you......that's when it really affected me anyway.....of course I have been banned by a few bookies long ago but in the last few months it has quadrupled..........most will still let you on after 9am on Raceday though......Once they have eliminated most of their mistakes in the market!
I have no real problem with a Business making rules that suit them, that is their decision to make........I then have a decision to make.....Will I accept the changes or not? It's usually "not" I go elsewhere
There are 2 Bookies that I have I never had a Problem with....."Best Bookies" and Betfair.....they just have the best prices but no bells and whistles, that suits me but again they don't put their prices up until most others have been operating for up to 3 days!

wily I wasn't actually banned but they took the money back for running second or third deal off me a couple of years ago.....I had no problem with them doing that......what I had a problem with is they didn't tell me until after I backed  horses that were placed, when I rang to inquire where my bonus bet was I was told I wasn't eligible....cos I took advantage of their special, the special that they offered?? They're Clayton's specials/Promotions.........they offer them  but if you take them they ban you and don't pay on the ones that were placed, bets that I would not have had(with them) without the promo......In short I closed my account, I don't want to bet with someone I can't trust......and you can't trust the TAB

I don't "trust" any of them......but the Corps as yet haven't double crossed me, the TAB has, I suspect the corps can't be trusted......but I know the TAB can't be trusted!

Ladbrokes said exactly that to me - you take advantage of the promo's which isn't in the spirit  I said how? You offer them so I use them  :chin:

They are the weakest of the lot but after yesterdays antics, BetEasy aren't far behind  emthdown

How many bet returns did you all get for yesterday,  Saturday.
I had 4, now only up to $30? Wow, promos are next to nothing now.
Crownbet started off great with promos, then beteasy continued. But they must be losing heaps of customers now.

After refusing to give me a reason the only thing they managed to get right was have my money withdrawn and back in my account the same day like I requested.

Piss weak operation  :thumbsd:

I am NOT complaining about the promo's being taken off me, hey it was something for free.....they never had to offer them in the first place.......No that wasn't my gripe.....my Gripe was they didn't tell me about it until AFTER they owed me a couple of bonuses, it was when I rang to inquire about them that I was told I wasn't eligible......I have been restricted by most bookies but the rest always told me in advance that I was no longer eligible for their promo's.....and I still use them.....it's Only the TAB that was underhanded and left me feeling cheated.....
I don't care what the rules are so long as I am informed of any changes, then it is up to me to decide if I accept the changes or not
By the way long after I was banned I kept getting emails from the TAB addressed to me personally telling me to invest in their phony(my word not theirs) Promo's.....I know they are form letters but you would think they would have the good sense to take anyone off their silly email list that wasn't eligible, wouldn't you? I have since closed the account completely
