Caulfield Preview

R1 - # 1 Mic Mac is going along quite nicely. Nice wins past two and the 1200m should suit his style. Big watch on # 5 Kirvinsky. Terrific run in The Jaanz at his second only start. Fitness is the only worry.

R2 - Tough mares race. #2 Youthful High has been going well and the distance will pose no worry. Claim is also a plus as it is for the toppie, # 1 Soul Diva. Her form doesn't look the best but it has been in better company than this. # 3 Hidden Wonder may appreciate the drop back from 2040m to 1800m.

R3 - Another hard race being for 3YO fillies. # 3 Chameleon is the one I like. She is on the improve after a good win last time at Ballarat and the mile will be right up her alley. # 8 Sweet Lady is still a maiden but that won't be for long. She'll figure here in the finish as will # 2 Mam'selle Rouge.

R4 - Good even stayers race. Avdulla gets a good chance here to win on the toppie, # 1 Shawmen. The claim is a help and his handy racing style will be an advantage. # 3 Good Red trained by Luke Oliver on the track will also appreciate the distance and his 2400m form is very good.

R5 - Yet another tough mares race. # 7 Moondancing faces her acid test here. Her form over the winter was impeccable winning on wet tracks. A different surface awaits her here. # 9 Dance On Air gets a nice weight drop after her Caulfield win last time and # 14 Meteor Mistress could be the smokey.

R6 - Despite not having the best of form this time in I still like # 3 Cocinero. Newitt takes the ride this time and the horse's form at the track and distance is good enough. # 14 El Mandon could be the surprise packet after a terrific run at Flemington last time and the toppie, # 1 Itsamonty is always a chance in thses types of races.

R7 - Don't be surprised if you see # 8 Davcon run a beauty here. He is second up and the distance is to his liking. Boss will hopefully be sober enough by then to steer a clear course. # 11 La Rocket keeps running good honest races and a change of jock may do the trick and # 5 Amberino, despite jumping from mares class to an open will acquit herself well.

R8 - It would be good to see # 1 Wind Shear do a little better here and get the bickies for Avdulla but me keeps thinking this is a little harder than last time. # 16 Mastercraft was disappointing last time but his first up effort was very good. Coldly ridden he should figure in the finish. # 10 Mufasa has always shown a lot of ability and maybe that potential is finally coming to fruition after a dominant win last time. He can figure bigtime too.

good luck with yours

I'm laughing too Woody. They were the only 3 in my quaddie. thus why they couldn't win after race 7.

no surprise it went right over your head. ;)

that's it woody.

alternatively everyone with an IQ above 50 would wonder why the inclusion of "after race 7" and the  ";)" and 1 millisecond later put two and two together.  ;)

Thanks for putting your tips up early without any cryptic messages Woody. Some have nothing better to do than post the vague and misleading. That way such geniuses can never be wrong after the race. It actually doesn't hurt to be wrong sometimes does it mate?     8-)
