Anyone else get this Centrebet promotional bonus?

******
The biggest racing event of January is he the 2009 Magic Millions – January 10th.  The richest owners and trainers head to the Gold Coast to buy, sell and bet.  Can Paprika live up to the hype to take the 2yo Classic?  Or will an outsider like Motown Lady steal the main chunk of the $2,000,000 purse?

No matter the outcome, you win with Centrebet’s:

The Bet You Can’t Lose
MAGIC MILLIONS SPECIAL

Place a minimum $50 Win-Only Bet on
the 2009 Magic Millions 2yo Classic
and we’ll pay out the winnings of a $10 Bet
on whichever horse wins the race, capped at $50!

So basically you could have the $50 on Paprika and you have $10 on all other runners ?

Provided the 2nd favorite is 4/1 you can not lose ?

I think we can presume Centrebet reckons PAPRIKA is a good thing. ;)

It's worded a little weird... maybe they'll only pay out the $10 bet, regardless of whether your $50 bet was a winner or not... if Paprika wins they'll be taking $50 off everyone and only giving $15 back

Note... it does say they'll pay the 'winnings' of the $10 bet... so they won't give you that $10 stake back as well, so the 2nd favourite would need to be at least 5/1 for you to be sure of winning (which shouldn't be a problem, the current price for horizons on uniTab is 7.50, so you should be fine)

They give examples.

The $50 bet can be on any runner and is dealt with as usual.

If you have a $50 under the promotion however you will be credited with a free bet equivalent to a $10 bet on whoever wins, to a max of $50.

So if you have the $50 on Paprika and it wins you collect your $50 bet normally and also get a $26 free bet (if it starts $2.60). If Paprika loses and a horse above 4-1 wins, you lose your $50 bet but get a $50 free bet.

The free bets are paid not including stake. So if I put my $50 free bet on a 3-1 chance I end up with $150 not $200.

It's a nice bonus and I've had the $50 on Paprika as I think that gives the biggest benefit.

I bet a bit with them and I was just wondering how widespread the bonus was or if other people got different offers.  (It's account specific, not open to everyone).

I've also been getting a few deposit bonus offers from IAS.

It's nice to see the firms starting to do this type of thing more often.

I don't bet large amounts.

I do have a few bets that are on horses they are a bit slow to trim up though.

I've had an account there for many years. I'd think I'd be in front overall.

I haven't checked but my memory of peoples complaints about account closures more often involve some of the other firms don't they? Like 'Mr Millions' Sullivan.

I don't have a centrebet account but did receive a vinyl / leather bound A4 diary from UniTab.

This promotion is now on the Centrebet homepage, so it looks like a general offer.

So you would not have had $10 on getting the 100/1 or whatever the price of the winner was ?
