As discussed in recent posts, "Top Fluc" refers to the official fluctuations as recorded by the betting steward on course.
It is not unusual for that to be less than the best price offered by the corporates.

I got screwed by a corporate last week but luckily was  “savvy” enough to be alert to it. I suspect many others weren’t.

Backed a thing the other day @$10 the place. 8 horse field.

Late scratching at the barrier meant 7 went around. Mine ran 3rd.

Lo and behold my bet was regarded as a loser as less than 8 runners doesn’t pay 3rd place and they kept my money. When    I rang to complain they claimed computer error and paid me a $6.40. No idea what deductions are used but at lest I got my cash.

I wonder if others were so lucky.

In saying that there are plenty on here happily putting the boot into the TAB  but I note they didn’t have the same “computer error” and their customers got paid

Any issue I have ever had with Sportsbet, I've been able to get through quickly and spoken with someone knowledgeable, helpful and friendly.
There was a problem last Tuesday when my early Sydney bets were cancelled because of a wrong date.
They reinstated all the bets at the original odds, even though the odds had shortened....considerably.

My first computer parlay bet on my TAB acc was a disaster.
Can't remember the 2nd leg but I had Rich Enuff into ???? into Preferment on Vic Derby day......$50-60.
Rich Enuff failed but the 2nd leg got up......Because it was the 1st time I had taken a 3 leg parlay I thought I better check with TAB about the bet's status.
Rang, got through and was assured yes your bet is alive.....never asked about the formula.
Certainly had money ready for Preferment in case the bet was gone.

You know the rest Preferment wins the Derby and nothing in my acc.
I was ex silver level with TAB but had curtailed a bit of my betting at the time.
Rang again...got a manager who basically told me to piss off......wonderful service.

I've only had the one bad experience in that way and it was with Betezy. The dog I'd backed was a late scratching but the next day the funds weren't returned. When I rang them they wanted me to provide them with evidence of the dog being scratched 

Ironically whoever took them over (my memory is a bit hazy but thinking it was Sportingbet) which resulted in 2 accounts merging into one reinstated my odds boosts which had been removed  

Ladbrokes removed allowing me to partake in promos, my odds boost whilst still there is vastly restricted  and their reasoning was "I don't play fair" 

Texbet still allow the odds boost but removed the bet return feature (not my fault they were offering it on Perth racing)

Sportsbet took away the boost.
