  :lol:

Probably not funny, but DD has been outed by Bob Bentley on the QR website, and this forum gets a mention  :what:

He has also been called a blogger   :lol:

I may be wrong, but posting on a community forum doesn't make you a blogger   :lol:

Good to see you are keeping in touch Bob   :biggrin:

Text messages have been sent to all stake holders and have been asked to read the letter.

Guess we had better brace ourselves for an influx of people

Be on your best behaviour guys  :)

hows that magic truth hurts?
ole bob forgets to tell stakeholders how much he and his motley crew have squandered on super track 1 at old brisbane airport
super track 2 at wacky wacol{not kooky coalition one foe wee andy there}
super track 3-selling doomben for units and making it eagle farm{thanks bill carter}
super track 4-palm meadows waterworld complete with gondolas
missing is the logic !
missing is the millions?
industry divided like never before by good ole bob

I can't tell if DD's been slapped over the knuckles, or being praised, lol... can someone decipher?

Following the declaration of the vote, and leaks from the meeting facilitated by a disgruntled David Dawson representing the Queensland Turf Club and regular blogger on www.racehorsetalk.com.au signing under the name ‘dubbledee’, Queensland Country Racing Committee (“QCRC”) member Gary Peoples, the recently deposed National party Mayor of the Shire of Aramac, who incidentally lost his position after local Council amalgamation, advised that the QCRC vote was invalid. His claim was that Bill Ludwig, as QCRC Chairman, had failed to consult with QCRC members prior to casting the country vote, notwithstanding that Bill Ludwig had discussed the matter at 11 Country racing forums the previous month. By the way, David Dawson was unhappy as he represented the one vote and was in the distinctive minority feeling very alone.

Ok, overall tone suggests DD is twisted, bitter and has no friends... but doesn't it say that Gary Peoples (and later Bill Carter) are the one who declared the vote invalid and caused all the problems, trying to discredit Bill Ludwig - claims that were later dismissed.

Is Bob suggesting that DD was in cahoots with Carter, Peoples and Horan, in bringing about these complaints (I have no idea what went on btw)? He's not mentioned again in the article anywhere, yet the above paragraph sounds quite personal and almost at odds with the rest of the press release....

Any further gossip - can you elaborate further DD or are your hands tied? Maybe Bob Bently is just getting sick of all the negative posts about him on here? ;)

Congratulations DD, at least you stood by the convictions of those who you were there to represent.   emthup

And maybe the recipients of this letter should also be given a copy of all of Mark Oberhardt's column this week, including:

c/ Courier Mail
The 2005 Racing Inquiry, which cost the public a mere $4 million, raised questions about Queensland Racing's boss Builder Bob Bentley's leadership style. He obviously hasn't learned much. The latest chapter gets an airing today when Toowoomba members vote on a cushion track. No matter what the result BB has again proved a major embarrassment. I have lost count of the people who told me they were offended by his behaviour and in particular a letter he sent to Toowoomba members about the track and vote. The way the whole thing has been handled is yet another instance where confrontation rather than consultation is BB's choice of weapon. But the big question is yet to come. You see, BB has spent millions of public money on upgrading a track Queensland Racing owns (Caloundra) and one way he can fully utilise it is to take dates away from Toowoomba. More than a few are asking about the legal ramifications. The funny thing is the cushion surface has proved its worth as a backup track at Caloundra. About 95 per cent of people would cheer if QR left the Toowoomba grass but built a back-up cushion track on the inside.

If you believed everything Oberhardt said you would think that the QLD Racing Industry is on the verge of collapse (a bit like my mate Teddy).

Obi just rehashes the same old vendettas and personal agendas week in week out and because he is a gossip columnist never seems to check his facts. (He even got it wrong this week about the number of premierships won by Wynumn Manly in the 80's.)

Send him a text and let him know what a great leader he is:

For further inquires:

Mr Bob Bentley, 0419 964 210

(from he

My suggestion is to change the name of the Toowoomba Turf Club by substituting a 'd' for an 'f' in the last letter of the second word in recognition of Bob and Nev's efforts in getting the cushion track over the line.

Bob's finally had a win and it is good to see that he was gracious in victory, imagine if eight members had of changed their mind and voted against it - what sort of rant would have been forthcoming then.

grats you crusted on labor supporting loo-ser...the lnp wont poison your water with toxic hospital waste and they wont poison the water in the north because we will get a vote...the lnp will introduce daylight saving in the south-east...the lnp will mandate to support and save country racing because what stakeholders are saying if there aint no country there aint no city racing strenGth..imo city racing and country racing has never been weaker....so you vote and vote often for anna,bob,bill and young pee-wee andrew cause they are need your help for as they say --they're GONE
you and the mamy should pm each other and come up with a better strategy for your beloved bentley ,ludwig,bligh,beattie,nuttal,purcel,fenlon,rose,fraser,porky brennan,basil tutt for you labor nongs fortunately are the biggest losers....pineapple or lemon you labor dimwits?
