Interested to see others thoughts on this?

Declared a dead heat and here's the photo.

Interested if anyone else thinks there's a margin to one of them  :chin:

Live I thought the one on the inside won.

Given the photo finish I reckon the 3 tanked it. emthdown emthdown

First look I thought the 1 had got there, but a closer look I am not sure so no problem in a dead heat,

That's using a snapshot tool which is obviously square.

I've asked the stewards to review & provide a copy with the line in place.  :chin:

I think the dog on the outside has his head turned sideways  :chin:

The outside dog was stiff not to win. Interested to see where the line was

Watching the replay of the race I can't for the life of me see where the instant is where the Three (3) has its front legs so far off the ground as indicated by that shot of him/her in the photo finish.

The whole photo is of the winning line only ..... if you go frame by frame the 3 does leap like that on the line.

Well I got a response today from the stewards, he made no comment either way, only supplying the photo and when I responded that it only confirmed my thoughts that there is a clear margin to the 1 he again made no comment other than to say my thoughts would be passed onto the judge & steward who headed the meeting.

There is a clear two pixels between them  emthdown

Clearly a dub result mate. You should get the prize money but the punting return will never come

I'll be honest Gin no idea where you're getting a clear margin from.

The tip of the two noses are both right on the line.

Surely your not suggesting that little blurry black patch is your dog?

It's like some sort of optical illusion???

There is "something" that is over the line but I can see what arakaan is saying about the clear outline of the snout of #1 dog.

The 1 dog clearly has something past the line. I assume it's part of his nose

Wily look at the video(the head on replay shows it best). The 1 dog has a clear white end of his face and the dark nostrils. That is on the line.

How come the 7 wore the red rug?

It's a weird photo.

The one seems to have a ghost on the inside - at first look I thought there was an obscured dog between them.

The shadow wins but the substantive noses line up.

I looked and looked them realized the shadow inside the one dog is actually the ten's leg.

It took a while but I think the judge got it right.

Caused by the way the photo is taken.

The chest of the one seems bigger than expected in the photo as well.

The photo is taken on the line only, if the dog plants it's front foot on or near the line there can be distortion - photo's with winners looking to have deformed legs is the obvious example. Part of the number one must have not moved through the line but have rotated on it.

Think the track is sponsored by Ladbrokes.

Ara - I'm saying the red dog is on the line and there is two pixels to the other dogs nose, I believe they have taken his nose which is the shadow. The photo further up is clearer than the last one.

As Skyb has said the GBOTA is sponsored by Ladbrokes.

Every month they have a race at each of their tracks over varying classes & distances like a monthly medal which has a set prizemoney amount which they then add $100 extra multiplied by the number of red dogs that have won at that track in that month.

Floating around wily.  Not really into gallops that much, so basically looking at the greyhound threads.
