Has anyone heard whether this bloke is back in training?

Has he trialled? etc etc

Maybe there should be a Board titled "Horses of Interest"

The Lighthorseman should frank the form in little more than 5 minutes time.

The caller at the trials repeatedly called him - Destitude, given the horses high profile you would think that they would know how to pronounce it.

From Ken Callander

ON the score of jockeys copping the blame we move to Danny Nikolic on Marchinski at Rosehill on Saturday and Kerrin McEvoy on Desuetude at Canterbury on Thursday night.

Trainer Tracey Bartley was not happy with Nikolic having the sensationally backed Marchinski back at the tail of the field and the jockey later admitted to stewards he had made an error of judgment.

In the case of Desuetude I never spoke to Peter Snowden, I wasn't game, but if body language is any guide he was not happy with Kerrin McEvoy when Desuetude went down by centimetres to Gold Trail in the Listed Canterbury BMW Classic.

Desuetude joined Gold Trail with a stride or two to go, but McEvoy then turned the horse's head sideways to avoid interference as the horses hit the line and this cost the grey the race.

Could you have imagined Mick Dittman, Darren Beadman or Malcolm Johnston being beaten in similar circumstances? .

I find these comments about McEvoy extraordinary, surely he must put jockey and horse safety before winning ?

RACE 5: Canterbury BMW Classic 1100m:
Hairy was crowded on jumping between Kenny’s World and Biscayne Bay, which shifted
in. Passing the 500m Hairy was crowded when tightened for room by Approach The
Bench, which was overracing and pulled its way up on the inside of the heels of Hurried
Choice, which in turn was being checked off the heels of Gold Trail. Desuetude hung in
under pressure in the straight and proved difficult to be ridden out fully.
Near the 50m
Biscayne Bay, which was giving ground, was steadied when crowded between Hurried
Choice, which shifted out slightly, and Hairy, which ran in despite the efforts of its rider.
