A suggestion that the Zeljko deal may not go ahead.

Also, you gotta love those Tote Rake hikes!

"All this means that the chances are Britbet will throw in the towel."

Haven't received my invite to the Britbet opening, yet.

Probably just as well.

One of my punting partners, who knows Z personally and does business with him assured me that  Z running pools in the UK is ‘a fantasy story’ - for what it is worth

Interesting PTI (Tab) are providing IT & back-up services for Britbet. Maybe some co-mingling in the future?

Some of the pool sizes on UK racing just look embarrassing on the Sky screen at night!

And what do you think the Rakes will end up at if that fiasco ever comes about?

With a pool full of sharks, all that will be left are the bones of the meat.

The local consortium is upping its Internet presence.

All the material I can see is supportive.

Could this mean a Britbexit?

http://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/a-collective-vision-to-revitalise-the-tote/

"Among the stated aims are a 25% reduction in the take-out, which is currently 19.25p from every pound staked, as well as £1 million Jackpots and Scoop6 funds..."

Fancy a tote operator reducing rake in the hope of increasing turnover? Must be April Fools Day.

Phil Bull, relentless opponent of Britbet, has just published a book.

Interesting what being a legendary gambler in Britain amounts to.

Oh, noticed he died yonks ago, so must be twitterbating from beyond.

Britbet agrees to a standstill.

So it will initially run as a service provider?

Giving Zeljko any number of opportunities for creating mischief.

Along the lines of his stunts here through PGI.

Big pockets involved in the Tote buyout.

But we already knew that.

"The agreement will also mean that the Britbet brand, which was set up by 55 tracks to operate a rival on‑course pool, will effectively be retired without ever accepting a bet."

Good luck trying to figure out what is the point of all this.

What are the discounts on HK racing offered by PGI and the like?

I don't know any more about the HK Kickbacks for very special players.

Meanwhile here is a cute development.

From what I can figure while the mugs on course have to toil with manual tickets, Zeljko can automatically pump in huge Placepot perms (extremely late) through the other outfits he controls.

I was surprised to find the long talk mildly interesting.

It may have given me a few ideas.

But a number of claims raised my ire.

Marantelli is wrong in claiming to have invented pool guarantees.

I remember NSW tracks having them ~1990 on Superfectas.

He's patented cash outs which are a monumental rip off and insane idea.

And what a pity the interviewer failed to ask him about his sugar daddy and principal beneficiary of Kickbacks and secret access to all bet information.
