I like him.

Australian Cup perhaps or keep him to the Doncaster distance

Wily, I like him too.

I think I ended up being about the lone voice of support for him at the old forum.

He's a big boof head of a horse that needs lots of galloping room but I thought he'd eventually develop into a quality stayer.

Now he wins first up over 1200m.

I'm confused.

Some people expect horses to be perfect from day one.

This bloke is still growing into himself and probably will be winning G1's in 2 years

No doubting  he is a good horse....but  once again we just put to much expectations on these horses that look superstars starting out....and he is no exception to that rule...

Over what distance?

I thought he was a genuine mile and a half horse.

I still think a race like the Turnball or even a caulfield Cup will be in his realm next year.

I'd aim at the Doncaster this prep

Great idea

Sam has already put a bit of egg on aras face    After Ara bagged him I rushed in and took $21 in the Hunter Cup.  He's now $4-50 8-)

I didn't say LL would win the Doncaster but it's a race that would suit his style.... in my humble opinion

Wily I am sam however still hasn't beaten the real big guns. you know they are going to the coast.  ;)

as for LL. What the hell did he beat yesterday that made you think he is any different to what he has always been?

I heard the exact same talk after his first up win last prep. This horse will not win a G1 in this country ever. ;)

Hes got fresh sprinter/miler written all over him, but I can see Hayes trying to make him a stayer and ruining him.

It's going to be fun when Sam wins the Inter and Largo Lad wins a few in a row and shortens to a prohibitive odds on fav for the Doncaster, we'll have fun laying him

Good boy Largo

He's got a ton of ability. Reminds me of an old timer called Taras Bulba. Very talented but you never know which one would turn up.

The star or the cat
