Queensland is a 'special' place

.................. the normal rules do not apply ... across the board.

RQL should be brought into line by the messiah ............ racing in Queensland is not trusted for good reason .......... no transparency ...... authority rules, no questions allowed.

Arsenal may not be infallible, but he has a most trustworthy reputation on this forum ............... he is a 'lifter' ...... lifts more than most.

................. connections should get a court order to view the 'head on' tape released

The post-mortem discussion on 2KSKY this morning said the controversy could not be settled without the head on vision.

Why would connections need a court order?

They would have seen the head on Saturday during the protest.

.............. thanks AT

The 'head on' should be available for all to see .... justice must be seen to be done.

Not sure what the connections 'saw' or if they accepted the decision ........ few would want to take on RQL.

Would love to see the head on from Adelaide, watched it live and just watched the replay of the straight.

Behmouth shifts in behind Beau Rossa before coming off heels and coming at the 'winner'  :chin:

Found the head on and the stewards room.

Beau Rossa certainly shifts which isn't as noticeable on the normal vision, still Behmouth is hanging in but Pannell was pretty ordinary in the stewards room, barely made a case to retain the win

The Memsie yesterday showed how unlucky Beau Rossa was to lose the race in Adelaide on protest to Bohemoth only a nose in it ..admittedly Bohemoth had a harder run three wide yesty but Beau Rossa was held up for a run only got out late and ran the winner to a head ...with better luck it reverses the result when they last met ... a horse to follow .

Big day of protests today @EF early races all dismissed but later on a surprise (to me) on interference 1100m from home they don't usually get up.

Race 8: LEXUS 3YO QUALITY HANDICAP (QTISx bonus applicable) 1400 metres

Correct weight was delayed when the rider of the 4th placegetter PENTITO, Jockey M Cahill lodged an objection against the 3rd placegetter MENAZZI (T Marshall) alleging interference near the 1100m. After taking evidence from all parties and viewing the available patrol footage, it was established that near the 1100m MENAZZI shifted in resulting in PENTITO having to be checked and lose its position. Taking into account the degree of interference and the manner in which the horses finished off the race and the margin separating them, Stewards were of the opinion that had the interference not occurred that PENTITO would have beaten MENAZZI and therefore upheld the objection and amended the placings to read 1st RHAPSODY ROSE, 2nd BIG MUSKIE, 3rd PENTITO & 4th MENAZZI.

At a subsequent inquiry Jockey T Marshall pleaded guilty to a charge to careless riding under AR131(a) in that permitted his mount to shift in, crowding PENTITO resulting in that runner being checked and lost its rightful running. Jockey T Marshall’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 9 days to commence midnight 17 October 2021 and expire midnight 26 October 2021

Qld raced at  Beaudesert today in the main race the protest by Brad Stewart on the second placegetter was upheld.

https://www.racingqueensland.com.au/racing/replays/tab-race-replays/race-player/thoroughbred/bdst/20220425/race/5

Prior to the declaration of Correct weight, Stewards considered a protest was lodged by Jockey B Stewart, the rider of the second placegetter BROKEN HERO against the first placegetter STRYKING PRINCESS for alleged interference in the straight. After taking evidence from both riders and their respective Trainers and viewing the films, Stewards were of the opinion that near the 120m BROKEN HERO had commenced improve to the outside of STRYKING PRINCESS and thereafter STRYKING PRINCESS shifted out thereby impeding BROKEN HERO which was forced to shift out. Over the concluding stages with clear running BROKEN HERO made up considerable ground to finish a short head behind STRYKING PRINCESS. Taking this all into account Stewards were of the view that had the interference not occurred BROKEN HERO would have finished ahead of STRYKING PRINCESS at the conclusion of the event and therefore protest was upheld with the placings amended accordingly.

Very contentious decision IMO ...................according to SKY talking head it was fiery in the stewards' room
