Hi all

This is my first post.

I backed Cavan Dancer, R5 Wyong today and thought it won convincingly by a length, but, protest upheld.

JT on SKY said "head on is not available for viewing" so I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on whether the stewards were correct in their decision.

no one shadow of a doubt the protest should've been upheld. Would've taken them 1-2 mins at most to deliberate.

it hung in and stopped the 2nd horse completely dead in its tracks twice. As soon as the second horse got the clear running it went straight into second closing in on the winner.

Base , I didn't see the race, but can understand you wanting your's to get up.

In my opinion the rules should be that the first over the line should have been relegated, but as the rule stand no way should that have been upheld.

You were stiff Base, 99/100 times that would have been dismissed.

But that is what ya get with the rules as they stand.

Thanks fellas, at least I don't feel cheated - only light in the pocket.

With my luck if it rained film stars I would end up with Phillis Diller or possibly Rock Hudson!

I don't know how others feel but at the end of most days I usually feel stiff in the wrong places.

Even a movie rated as 4.5 by David Stratton and Margaret Pomerantz I feel unlucky after I've seen it!

Base I TO WAS ON CAVAN DANCER but i think
it was the jock on the horse that cost us he had cassidy in a pocket
and let him out he should of kept him there not gone for home on the turn, put it this way swap the jocks and Cavan wins

I was on the Dancer as well and was convinced I was going to lose my cash.

It should have been upheld, especially if you compared it to the farce of the Villiers and takeover target

You people have gone all soft. If this had happened 18 months ago the stewards would not have left the course in one piece.

9/10 stewards panels in this country would have dismissed that objection.

I have seen horses cause more interference and win by a lip and not lose the race.

From the side on angle i was and am very very surprised they upheld it.

I am not disputing the interference.

Wily comparing it to The Villiers takes the cake.

FAIR ENOUGH,BUT THE STEWARDS RULE ON

I did see the head on and it was worse.

In the Villiers Honor in War didn't have to check abruptly or change course very much at all

the 2nd horse in this case was stopped dead in it's tracks and the jock was up in the irons.

I'm sure I saw about 15 minutes after the race on either sky or tvn

Bloody hell

It appears that I've been debating something we agreed on.

Went to collect my cavan dancer. I was told the protest was dismissed

Ouch, no collect for wily and plenty of confusion.

just to clarify, it was rightfully upheld........much to my detriment
