wily,

Turn lemon into lemonade by learning from your mistakes.

At a minimum $22.00 the place I hope you had some on the place anyway.

wily,

Gotta replace emotion with 'doing what is necessary'' in a matter of fact manner.

Generally speaking separate banks are best to reflect different strike rates for a given approach.

Two 44/1 picks fought out the finish at Port Macquarie just now - I was covered either way - as an example. Makes for an enjoyable quaddie after noon.

..............remember the rules

................. we will look at roughies ...........paying $15 or more the place only ............the simplist rule I can give for is to only allow those wth a place % > 50% to be considered

It is not on to find races that have been run and then say they were choices for dummies.

..... .......... have the kennel-kids spat the dummies idea?

Looks like it -- a one week wonder.

Why did they ever talk-up 50% place-getters paying $15+ the place -- a prospect akin to finding a four-leaf clover.

Nothing to boast of in Australia yesterday, apparently.

The wily one has gone Honkers looking to salvage some credibility.

Spare my days.......this is CANDID CAMERA  without the pictures

A not-wily one has been left holding the bag after his comrades -- 'fours' and 'dave' and 'gunbower' -- have left the kennel.

........  they may be away from the kennel for some time, as a decision to not come back can be expressed.

These other brothers in arms saw what the wily-one could not --  a hopeless quest for a pint of racing gold.

....... they may have set him up for the Gold Coast carnival......... or just floated a 4X wild idea that self-destructed.

Finito.

Peter,

You remain an idiot.

Check out Albany's first fours yesterday - I got most of them - the big ones.

Most days I simply say nothing - old hat for me rather than something to tell you every day.

Guys,

Think what you like.

What I can do now is a result of years of work and some would say that's not so great if it took that long..... but standards vary.

But one day you might care to offer something like my "Punting for Dummies" thread start your self with ideas of your own.

But are you only capable of sniping?

You must be so proud!

i doubt anybody gives a fig what you can do(or think you can).
some just don't spend their lives telling others how good they are.

i am sure i forget a good many other things that you're best at...self proclaimed
carry on though, i am sure it helps puff your chest up, being able to brag relentlessly.

pretty sure there is at least 4 people on this forum that would eat you for breakfast punting wise.

Do rules rule or is it rafferty's rules?

I could see no pattern in the 'big' F4 results at Albany -- a venue that would host only low grade races.

The initial proposal was, in fields of 12 or more, stand out the favourite from all to run the placings and, for 4th, only the rough ones paying more than $15 the place -- provided they had a 50% place record.

........few races would qualify.

That was a variation on a common sense approach that stands a short-priced favourite from four good chances to place and the field for 4th.

....... the only credible test is to post bet details before a race is run .............. or perhaps, later,  a copy of the TAB account statement, even extracts just showing the winning bets placed....... along with the total number and value of bets placed on the day.

Carey,

I feel sorry for you!

You seem obsessed with me and mention those things repeatedly whereas I do not.

I certainly hope there are more than 4 punters on the forum who can do better than me. Always happy to learn more! You have this totally back to front and have real ego problems.

Now lets see you offer something constructive to the forum rather than just a snipe -  or is that something you cant do?

And Carey I was totally silent about my punting.  Have another look at this thread and see how long it was totally dormant and see how wrong you are. Everyone else can see that too.!

Wiley restarted the thread noting dramatically improved returns from first fours when he snared them compared to a mere place bet which I had long ago suggested was possible.

So no Carey I do not have a need to detail results or even discuss first fours at all - sorry but you have ego problems and they are yours and not mine.

Again Carey why not start a much better thread than mine to help other punters out? I would be happy to learn from you....

Or are you just an embittered old man with nothing positive to offer?

you poor diddums, do you seriously think i give a fig what you think?
you go on telling us how good you are, and i will just toodle off again, as there is no point being here, when the only topic is fours self praise.

but before i go, i could not care less about the detail of your super stardom, it does not interest me.
i never asked for, as i simply don't care, so why even say i asked for it when i never did.

Carey,

The thread was not posted on by anyone at all for more than 3.5 years!

Yet you claim I can't stop talking about first fours.

Do you really think anyone is interested in your false embittered postings which have nothing to do with the threads topic?

Wily wanted to talk about the subject so I obliged him - I should  get life for that or maybe you should get a life and leave threads free from your irrelevant bitterness!

Yet to see a positive thread or contribution from you.

Where is your judgement?      If  you don't like my threads find some self discipline and simply do not read them.

Carey, fours is correct. I reactivated this thread to thank him for his suggestion re F4s rather than my each way place betting.

It took a while but I gave it ago. Itís only a small sample so far but given a few big returns I can have a losing streak of 120 bets and still break even

Letís hope that doesnít happen🤗

....... not being aware of 'fours' I took at face value his suggested betting strategy.

I still think it is a general idea worth attention in special circumstances, but not being tied to 'ridiculous' rules.

He may have form as a pusher of speculative F4 bets but so what - apart from being wary of the company he may be hijacked to keep on an open forum.

.............. fours may not be a paid up member of wily's kennel-kids-klub.
