Hi and welcome Arkenstone

A 'sticky' means that this thread will always remain at the top so that you will not have to do a search to find it.  Down the track with the expected traffic, it would perhaps get lost amongst all the posts.

Not sure if you are from the west but it's will be the only dry track in Australia tomorrow.  Below is track conditions.

Early track and weather conditions for Belmont
Friday, 8 June 2007

Precis:      Fine. Morning cloud.

Racing NSW
Racing NSW advises that Racing NSW Chairman of Stewards, Ray Murrihy, and STC Racecourse Manager, Lindsay Murphy, will inspect the Rosehill Gardens course proper at 6am tomorrow, whereby a decision will be made on the state of the track.

"A couple of horses will gallop on the course proper early in the morning and we will make an inspection following that," Mr Murrihy stated.

Lindsay Murphy stated that as at 4pm this afternoon, the track was still rated a 'Heavy 9' and that the state of the track for tomorrow's meeting would be dependant on what rainfall occurred overnight.

The Kembla Grange race meeting scheduled for tomorrow has been abandoned due to the weather and the state of the track.

After receiving a great deal of rain yesterday and this morning, the racecourse received additional rain around midday today and the decision was then made to call of the meeting.

However, full bookmaker and tote facilities will be operation and entry into the course if free.

And now everyone's broke and no more punting?? ???

Am in need of increasing the weight of my wallet this weekend, so how about a little work on the form guide and then the nudge, nudge, wink, wink on here?

OK Horse with No Name has asked for selections to fill the wallet and shown an interest in Perth Racing.  You may wish to watch for a while to see how this goose goes because I spilled the scalding coffee over the form guide.  Folks from WA may wish to correct me if I'm off the track.

Race 2 No 3  Silent Hero (Tri 1-2-3-6)
Race 3 No 1  San Simeon (Tri 1-3-4-7)

I didn't get a chance to do form for WA so have no idea how I would have gone on the day.  Will start earlier this week and maybe we can compare, Westie.  Also must check to see which is leading stable.

Pretty poor effort on my part at Belmont yesterday.  I'm in a fun comp that chooses a different meeting each week on a Sunday.  This week it's at the Sunshine Coast and these are my selections.  I haven't had a bet on these and is just an interest thing.  Perhaps I should of had a bet.
