ROSTOVA
2006

Testa Rossa (AUS) - Space Talk (AUS) (Anabaa (USA))
2yo b f

I like getting on a Horse and labelling it something special after it's first run.
It's backfired a couple of times ( forum members here will undoubtedly tell me about it...but my most recent horse I declared a "future champion" was Takeover Target...and I've had an unbelievable ride following him throughout his career.

Rostova is my next "future champion".

I was on the track when I saw her debut on Melbourne Cup Day...she had been backed sensationally on IAS a couple of days before her race...so I had a look at her in the yard and liked what I saw and backed her.
Her run was unbelievable going on what had transpired throughout the day...no horse made ground from well back that day...and the inside was the place to be...ROSTOVA came from well back down the outside...UNTOUCHED...she looked sensational.
Good Luck to Steve Richards...he has been in the game for awhile now and a topliner has eluded him...maybe she will be the one !

I hope she can do better than the last filly I said would be a champ...the injury plagued Cuphill.

yeah fewy but richards said she was a long way off being fully fit today, she will only get better and looks like one out of the box, IMO may have the diamond at her mercy even though you never know what can emerge late.

She's the real deal alright.
Good to see her handle a turn...she was 3 wide all the way because of the barrier.
Awesome the way she powered home...the rail was out 9 m...
She'll run in the red in the Prelude and blow them away.
Then start a clear cut 6/4 fave in the Diamond...the 5/1 I took is looking sensational now
but unfortunately I've seen many a good thing have no luck in the Diamond and go down  :thumbsd:
Unless Freedman has one in his box that is out of the box that hasn't raced...I can't see this good filly going down.

Really impressed again. Was wide which is not always a disadvantage at Caulfield but she did a few things wrong in the run , raced a bit greenly in the middle stages but still cruised up to them wide on the turn. The best part was when the second horse looked like she was 1/2 a chance King gave Rostova one crack with the whip and she found a couple of legnths very quickly.
Looking at he in the yard before the race she looked a fraction under done and sh had a good blow returning after the race so i expect she has some improvment in her.
