Christ! That's too early for a decision.
What's the temp down there now?

OL it is already 40 degrees in Melbourne, with no signs of cooling down.  Tomorrow is again expected to be 43 degrees.

Very sensible decisions being made .........

Not only are they looking after the all players they are not being left in limbo wondering what is going to happen ...

Hey Woody i noticed they were trying to put the Meeting for Sandown
forward to start at 9 am, however they decided against this for what ever reason.
I think if the forecast is as hot as its been they may run future meetings from
mid morning rather than lose them altogether

Then the last 2 races would be around midday and be abandoned.
Anyway if it's a hot day it's usually unbearable at 9am so what's the point.

They could enclose racetracks and close the roof if necessary

starting to cloud over a bit and the temp has gone down from 48.5 to 47.5 in the past hour under my pergola.........

the decision might yet prove to be premature ?

There is a southerly change forecast for tomorrow afternoon/evening woody, should nosedive below 40 when that hits... just a question of what time it gets there probably.
