Anyone heard about it?
What a sad place this is now...
I still like the golden nutter, Hanseatic.
Any ideas guys?
Have a look at the form ,you may find it somewhere...not a bad race, they tell me it has some history.

I get your sentiment Shogie.

i love Slipper/Ryder/Guineas day :no1:

For what it’s worth I’m with your boy Hanseatic as well with the smokies being  Minhaaj & Kings Legacy

I think, not quite sure yet, I'm pluming for Hanseatic too.

It will be interesting to see how he behaves in the birdcage with no one (except TV cameras) to watch him.

Good point Brian.
He better behave, or else stewards will have something to say maybe..very dangerous behaviour.
I wonder regards the oft quoted ' Aaah he knows it's race day, game on blah blah' by trainers and whether we will see horses that think they are at the trials or trackwork!
Or are they dumb and don't know the diff?
Maybe a few quirky types will have to be ridden harder.

They’ll be fine Shogie. They’re a herd animal and know what races day is

Tagaloa deserves to have a mention on a Golden Slipper thread.

From the colt who was nearly doing backflips in the birdcage at Flemington at his first start to the Golden Slipper is quite a feat.

Travelling 3 wide around the Caulfield 1200 metres and winning has been done before but he was so strong at the end and holding off all the challengers.

Just as his lead up race to the Diamond was .....you know!.....a bit of a warm up so was his Todman run.

Seems a long time ago when Manikato rode into town and laid it on the line in every race.

Tagalog was brave, was hard ridden at turn, still ran through the line well.
Another dominant Waterhouse Slipper.
How tough and willing is Away Game?
Hanseatic was on valium..bad bet Shogie.
The Frankel filly I will follow too....
