Week 1
2 May 2008

Congratulations youngracing on being the winner of May oops April - Note: doing a recount

I'm not sure how much longer this comp will run as folk seem to be loosing interest.  It was originally started by Gratlog (doesn't post here any longer) and magic~* organised the sportingbet prizes and I have been helping out and just allowing it to run it's course.  I guess it's a month by month thingy.

Sorry, westie, but I keep forgetting about the comp. I have so many assignments to do and study for assessments that it all gets forgotten and I don't even have time to read the forum as I used to do.

Have worked out the results for Saturday and aristotle takes line honours with ONE winner.

Good grief, what's the matter with us??!!!

I'm the only one still alive with 2 races to go and even they don't look too flash. Blind paying $15.50 now and Revered Ruler at $96 (must have only 2 legs??) so not expecting to notch a score.

Will update after the last.  :embarrassed:

Sorry aristotle, but I've been busy doing assignments and knew mine had done no good.

However, you came up with a winner and earned $50.  You're sitting on $81 now.

Have no idea where everyone has gone and it's a shame. I guess everyone is struggling with their own hectic lifestyles.  :( Sometimes I forget to post mine and remember when it's too late. Maybe that's the case with the others.

HWNN, I wasn't having a dig at you or the time you put into doing the ladder, only at the lack of interest that past tipsters have adopted. It seems that you can't give money away nowdays,it's a shame as it was good fun - but like most things it has to come to an end due to lack of interest  :(

Everthing's fine, aristotle, I knew you weren't have a dig at me. I was wondering the same thing about our tipsters.

Perhaps we had better do one of those "successful" tourism ad campaigns and ask "Where the bloody hell are you?"  lol

I guess people's commitments change from time to time and things are forgotten along the way. I know that I always mean to enter my no hopers but often get distracted by having to do something else that takes more time than I allowed.

One thing's for sure, though, you are a certainty to win this month.  ;)

Ari, I'm breathing down your neck. My first winner!!!

After your tips today, you are up by $36 to a total of $117.

My winner gives me $103 with, hopefully, more to come.  :D

I told Westie but he missed getting on it. Never mind, we'll have fun at the trots tonight.

I'm going out soon so will update the comp later tonight or in the morning.

Still think you'll walk away with it aristotle.

HWNN, a good choice with "manihi magic" - well done & congrats with that first winner. I still don't believe that I'm a certainty to take it out. All you have to do is come up with another one like that next week & you've got it. It looks as though everyone else has left it to us to fight it out. I hope you continued your good furtune at the trots tonight. Good luck next weekend  8-)

What a pity Turffontein couldn't whip the Cat. Still, it paid $8.00 the place so the Telebet account is a bit healthier.

Westie and I had a great night at the trots. Well, I had 3 collects and he had the trifecta for the last race we saw. Shame it didn't pay better for him. I came home with almost as much as I took and that's after buying food for the kids and myself. That's what a $14 winner does for you.

Hope I don't forget the comp next week, but good luck anyway, you deserve to win.
