Spot on rats. No ones getting their arm twisted to buy a ticket. Getting ones knickers in a knot over $5 is rather shameful.
Im shattered I missed out. Bought a few for some fun and would have loved a runner.
Oh well next year :bop:

TAB is part of the kosciusko kaper.

I consider this kaper does have much to do with Tabcorp.

Tickets were bought at TAB agencies and on account and presumably registered.

So far there is no real information about the sales of tickets and how much was contributed by race clubs and others using funds contributed by punters for other purposes.

The most likely source for this disclosure would be the TAB.

Who cares who bought tickets. Do you want an audit on lotto tickets as well

We should care

If the tickets were not sold RNSW would have had to kick the tin to make up the shortfall.

There will be tears before bedtime.

I think this was a 'oncer'.

People should care Wily.

The who cares attitude just allows big business to feed it's customers bullshit.

It would be good to see the true figures because all we will hear on 2KSky is what a resounding success the concept has been.

Can you imagine if anybody actually had to pay for the 24/7 advertising and promotion for the race on the Tabcorp broadcasting arms.

The full page add I got the other day for the race when I logged in to my TAB account seemed to have a hint of desperation about it.

If it has been a good idea put up the figures so we can make up our own minds.

Will you buy next year?

It will be interesting to hear the reactions of those individuals that bought tickets.

It will depend a bit on the outcome of the race and who got what but $5 for one chance in 250,000 is expensive if the 'return' on the winning ticket is almost all taken by the connections.

........an ordinary lottery ticket would be a better buy.

Rats wrote "thanks Bubba , AFAIK tickets where limited to 250,000  ( I would think Racing NSW is conversant with the rules )

but kick some behinds if it suits your agenda"

Fair enough, is that why sales have closed  ? Just the same it is a clever marketing ploy to get punters to enter a lottery.

Bubba, as punters we love a lottery. That’s why we take quaddies & F4s hoping for a massive divvy rather than a  paltry return
I got the F4 10 times on winx's race but not many would have walked away happy with the $6 Tri or the $11 F4 divvy compared to snaring a fat quaddy

I've had no issues logging onto the website or the app, I've taken $5.5 plus an odds boost for Exoteric in the Port Cup after missing the $6 on SB

Here's hoping that's a good omen although I still can't climb Everest  :shy:

Hello, if you are like me and can't make it to Randwick today, don't forget that you can drop in via the new AR functionality on the Tab apps (ios and android). Cheers, P2

Why won’t the tab consider a parimutuel cups double bet like they used to.

Obviously the fixed odds are a focus for them but it would be a good promo

Thanks Wily, appreciate the suggestion.  "Feature Doubles" as they were known back in the day were reasonably complex from a participant perspective.  Therefore customers looking to place doubles bets are offered the fixed odds alternative as you alluded to.  Cheers, Philby

SKY CHANNEL 528 -- ARSES AND ELBOWS

There is no point putting a TV show to air unless people know when it is on

The 'live form' program advertised as 6.30 to 7.30 pm -- on both the sky program and the 528 program seems to have gone to air an hour earlier.

This is illustrative of an abject failure of SKY management to know what they are doing when.

It is poor form.
