These two bets were placed 10 seconds apart.

In the first bet Tabcorp response was "Win price is being reassessed"

This is a deliberate lie by Tabcorp, because they accepted the $1 bet at second attempt.

Surely you're not surprised?

You should have attempted the $200 bet after the $1 bet again to really prove what they were doing.

I've stood side by side with a friend and we've both attempted to place the same bet on Ladbrokes, my price offered was different to his.

The regulations around this really need policing, they should be forced to adhere to a minimum loss level for any price offered.

Back in the good old days, in an old school reading book there was a reading lesson about mice having a meeting and resolving unanimously to put a bell around the cat's neck

Alas . .

Who was going to 'Bell the Cat'?

Maybe their process is that whilst odds are being re-assessed any bet with a payout of say less than $20 will be accepted?

When the price of a runner shortens they also maintain the original price for quite some time on the website. You get offered the lower price, you decline, you refresh, still the higher price, 15 seconds later price changes.

Had a horse ease from $15 to $16 - immediately tried to place a bet - was offered $14 - then eventually went to $14 on website.

They are clearly enticing people to bet with a higher price hoping they will just accept the lower price when offered.  emthdown

But I really think they hit a new low today when they offered $61 the win and $12 to run first or second about Royal Popcorn throughout betting.
