The fixed odds button is still there as well, think its mainly for sports not %100 ill tell ya what bugs me is the form on the uni tab site they have that green colour form doesnt say who the trainer is or show how a horse performs first up. The yellow colour form does ive noticed the yellow colour form is always on the i touch screens at pubs/tabs it might just be for internet users anyone else notice that.

Unitab fixed odds are the same as those on Supertab ( Vic) as they have a joint venture agreement. WA TAB have what they call "Player Fixed Odds" , which in reality are the same as those on Centrebet. A couple of months ago Supertab told WA TAB they could "go for a walk" and find another service to supply them with fixed odds, thus Centrebet took up the slack.

The yellow 'expanded' form guide is available by logging into a unitab account which then creates a cookie on your PC. Provided you log into your account at least once a week or so it should be the only one you see. Works for me anyway

Unitab launches independent fixed odds service
Clinton Payne
Tuesday, 1 December 2009

Queensland based betting agency Unitab has launched its own non-aligned fixed price service to be known as TattsBet.

“Unitab Limited is part of the Tatts group of companies and the TattsBet management team based in Brisbane has considerable price setting experience allowing Unitab to offer a high quality fixed price service in a safe and regulated environment,” a press release said.

The new service has allowed the wagering operator to make the following changes to the existing fixed price service.

    * Multi fixed price horse and greyhound race bets extended from two (2) to 10 (10) legs.
    * Minimum $1 single bet.
    * Introduction of a new win-place retail totalisator ticket, which allows either a tote or final field, fixed price race bet to be placed on the one ticket without having to source a proposition number.
    * Enhanced retail price displays to make it easier for in-store customers to easily compare tote and fixed prices in TABs.

Have to love this new competitive environment.

Blatant World Cup no-hopers geriatric Australia are now a staggering $51 on UNiTAB versus $41 on Tabcorp.

I'll continue to merrily lay them at $120 at Betfair.

Yes  note all the prepost markets are up on Ballarat tomorrow ( 2nd December )

Unitab( Tattsbet )
Race 6 percentage 141 %
Race 7 percentage 127%...not all runners quoted
Race 8 percentage 151%
Tabcorp ( Sportsbet )
Race 6 percentage 146%
Race 7 percentage 145%
Race 8 percentage 155%
IAS
Race 6 percentage 133%
Race 7 percentage 134%
Race 8 percentage 141%
WA TAB  ( Player )
Race 6 percentage 133%
Race 7 percentage 140%
Race 8 percentage 149%

All of the markets quoted above are subject to deductions after tomorrow's scratchings are declared, at a rate determined by individual operator based on those ridiculous percentages.
Talk about ripping off punters, with no knowledge / understanding of percentages. Did I read that "Unitab has considerable price setting experience allowing Unitab to offer a high quality fixed price service in a safe and regulated environment".

UNiTAB is uncompetitive but has a captive market with the off course agencies having exclusive rights for a few more years before tenders MIGHT be called.Punters with internet connections have wider choices but there are literally thousands of regulars who only patronise the local TAB .

It's no good complaining to the Qld Govt or the Racing Minister either even though it can be shown how punters are ripped off by UNiTAB in comparison with their interstate counterparts. :baby:

Brisbane bookies percentages are bad too but Gold Coast are worse. emthdown

I don't think that I could have a all up bet accross different meetings when using Unitab before.  Especially a four legger.
Therfore I can now take my parlays there as long as I use the fixed odds.

Example

 24812 * Horse Racing:Maiden Handicap DECRYPTION $1.85
 24862 * Horse Racing:C G&E Class 3 Plate GUNDY SON $2.60
 24875 * Horse Racing:CLASS 2 HANDICAP HEMEM $2.40
 24936 * Horse Racing:OPEN HANDICAP PLC1+2 DEALERS $2.50
          $1 = $28.86

From what I'm told you can now have up to 10 legs in a horse racing multi (previous maximum was 2).

Can anyone get a 10 legger up?

I will be certainly be giving it a go.

I think you can only do that for a win so it will be a little difficult, but nothing that we cannot master.

Unitab are due to reveal their new website in a couple of weeks.

Why change a good thing?

Just hope that they don't do the same as NSW and have all those problems.

Looking forward to seeing how the new Unitab changes work.

I enjoy going to the club to put some bets on so the new tickets will make it easier for small punters like myself.

Tote odds and fixed odds will be on the one ticket and we will just have to tick a box as to what we want.
A lot better idea than we have now.
