Now that we've got things sorted out . . I'm going to go off topic again  :o

A little while ago I hooked up with 'Unibet' , thinking I was joining 'Ubet' to have another option for betting on Nth Qld racing

Yesterday on the MKY meeting 'Unibet' only bet fixed on R2 . . all (?) the other races were 'mid-tote' (?)

Unibet always has 'fixed' on the mid-week NQ TAB meetings; is it their usual practice to not bet 'fixed' on Sat. non-metro??

Why would the TABs not be allowed to bet fixed odds on the Hong Kong races when the other corporates are?
All sounds a bit dodgy to me!

It is because the corporates do not have a co-mingling totalisator pool agreement with the HKJC and the TAB does.  That is my understanding anyway.  And I think there is a good deal more to the agreement than just refraining from offering fixed odds in the same market ...

Went to use UBET on my Samsung last night and it insisted I upgrade the app.

Developers forgot to run the install script so it just downloads the .pak file and then nothing else happens.

When I tried to run the downloaded file manually it just said "Unfortunately UBET has stopped working".

Real amateur hour  emthdown

Still doing the same thing tonight. I'm going to have to fully de-install the app and make a fresh install.

No wonder TABCorp aren't interested in Tatts wagering division.

Ubet App says I have $150 in bonus bets, but struggling to see how I can use them?

Assuming, you add a horse to the bet slip and then should have an option to use bonus bets, but I can't see any option

Race 1 at Gosford today.

Winner pays $4.60 the win and $4.90 the place.

Normally if I saw a neat $12,000 in the win pool I'd just let it go as something that happens from time to time, but combined with the ridiculous win dividend makes me think something fishy happened - tote price manipulation?? Possibly their fixed odds arm putting something into the pool?? If it was a later race you'd guess a big all up bet but even then they usually level out to a degree,

Win Pool size was significantly bigger than would be expected for that race. Did anyone notice if it went on late?

Didn't notice the FF Geoff.

Published material looking extremely dubious.

I think Tatts owe the public and the authorities an explanation at the very least.

Free downloads of both Form and Field  screen shots data from Tatts have been excellent this year and minimal changes, usually none,  required for their use once captured.
At one stage when a horse was a likely non runner,  the Jockey name of course would not be there, but  as well the field in the captured file would also be missing;   causing a problem for any older computer programs expecting the field at least to be present even if blank. For some time it was the practice to insert  "N Notified" as the jockey so that the software would handle the file seamlessly.
Also the Race field at one stage used to require the capture in two parts, but I have noticed lately that the whole file can be now captured in one go which is appreciated.
Just hope this data availability continues under any new structure.  Much apreciated.
Not absolutely sure of the status of any new methods of data capture for us golden oldies.

Went to have $20 on a 21.0 chance with "U-Beaut" at MKY yesterday, about 10 minutes before jump . .

They took $12 and 'try again later' . . the girl tried a couple more times and I was set

Wish the hadn't taken any; but seriously you have to wonder

Wonder why UBet are paying just 2 place dividends on Healesville race 11 today.

Two late scratching reduce the field from 8 to 6 - other totes paying 3 as expected.  :chin:

Received an email from Ubet yesterday advising that the current tattsbet.ubet.com website will be closing soon.

I used to use the XML feed they provide so I checked with their help desk to see if the xml feed was ending as well as it is on the same endpoint -

https://tatts.com/pagedata/racing/2018/12/5/RaceDay.xml

I was advised that it will no longer be available once the current web closes.  Their ETA is about 17 December.

Some members may still use the XML feed so I thought I would provide an update.

They do have a replacement feed that has been in place for a good while, based on json.
